Attending Consensus Miami 2026? 🌴
@annakaz is demoing Context Gateway, showing how users can bring their memory and cross-platform data into new apps.
Portable context means users don’t have to rebuild who they are every time they try a new app.
See what AI can do when it actually has the context it needs.

Continuing to train AI on scraped web content is a dead end.
AI needs real, human-verified data to improve.
That’s what Vana is building.
AI Is Inventing Academic Papers That Don’t Exist
The proliferation of references to fake articles threatens to undermine the legitimacy of institutional research across the board.

Had a great chat with about decentralized AI at @ADFinanceWeek yesterday.
Quick takeaway: deAI isn’t here to replace AI, it just adds new ways to scale through ownership, incentives, and user-powered data that centralized systems can’t reach

Messaging apps like Signal/Telegram pioneered end-to-end encryption, which led to mainstream players like WhatsApp adopting stronger privacy guarantees
There's potential for something similar to play out in confidential computing: early adopters will shift consumer expectations to have their data handled securely (and not used to train AI without their consent)
Technical details: cocoon.org/docs/tdx-and-imag…
🐣 It happened. Our decentralized confidential compute network, Cocoon, is live. The first AI requests from users are now being processed by Cocoon with 100% confidentiality. GPU owners are already earning TON. cocoon.org is up.
🏦 Centralized compute providers such as Amazon and Microsoft act as expensive intermediaries that drive up prices and reduce privacy. Cocoon solves both the economic and confidentiality issues associated with legacy AI compute providers.
📈 Now we scale. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be onboarding more GPU supply and bringing in more developer demand to Cocoon. Telegram users can expect new AI-related features built on 100% confidentiality. Cocoon will bring control and privacy back where they belong — with users.

I remember when Reddit threatened to sue @rdatadao for allowing users to take control of their own data.
Now Reddit is suing Perplexity because it apparently wants to protect user data.
Ok, mate. If you win, I hope you distribute the proceeds to the users. Otherwise, you're just protecting your stolen bags.
🚨 Big News in Tech & AI 🚨
Reddit has officially filed a lawsuit against Perplexity AI and other companies for allegedly scraping millions of Reddit comments to train AI models—without permission or payment! 🤖💥
Reddit claims these firms used “industrial-scale” scraping, bypassed anti-bot protections, and even tricked Google to sneak user content into their AI answers.
Reddit says “Data laundering stops here!” and is defending the value of user-generated posts.
Perplexity’s response: “We’ll fight for open access and users’ rights to public knowledge!”
This landmark case could shape how AI companies source training data from online communities.
What do you think: Should platforms restrict AI access to public conversations, or is open knowledge for all the future?👇

Most people know Spotify tracks their habits, but few realize how much meaning lives in that data. Spotify made $15.7B in 2024, powered by listening patterns just like yours.
At the What Flavor is Your Data event in Seoul, @artieart88 sat down with @blocmates to talk about what happens when you own that data, not just create it.

Vana Playground is open for business
Stop training AI on scraped data.
The data edge has moved from Big Tech to the people.
Vana Playground is now open, the first platform where developers can build AI on community-owned data.
🟣 12.7M+ Verified Data Points: Real, permissioned data from networks like VDataDAO and Biohacker DAO.
🟣 Ethical by Design: Every data use is approved and revenue-shared. No privacy risks, no gray areas.
🟣 Instant Utility: Pay network fees in $VANA and reward contributors in real time.
If you’re building AI, this is your new sandbox.
If you’re investing, this is where adoption starts compounding.

AI’s real bottleneck is data. Control of that data is concentrating in private silos.
At the recent @projectglitch_, @artieart88 explained how Vana is decentralizing ownership to keep AI truly open and give value back to people.

The AI Privacy Breakthrough
Why can’t we train one AI model using data from millions of people?
Because until now, there’s always been a trade-off:
🟣 Utility: building the most powerful AI model.
🟣 Privacy: keeping personal data secure and encrypted.
Vana has found a way to solve this.
The secret lies in its Secure Enclave (TEE) architecture.
Here’s how it works:
✔️ Your data stays encrypted on your personal server.
✔️ When the AI needs to use it, the data is temporarily unlocked inside a TEE, a secure, hardware-level “black box” verified by the Satya Network.
✔️ The AI can train on the data, but the raw information never leaves that protected space.
This changes everything.
It means we can finally build user-owned foundation models using data from across platforms without giving up control or privacy.
This is the true engine of the data economy.

Great list
Adding two more projects from the @vana ecosystem building at the robotics x DePIN frontier:
@barbarikaAI → dojo for robots. A distributed fleet of open-source robots + teleoperators generating diverse, real-world training data & unlocking an “App Store” of robotic skills.
@chordata_xyz → decentralized marketplace where skilled workers & everyday people record real-world tasks, creating the motion-capture datasets ,robots need for imitation learning.
If you're getting into Robotics because of the recent hype
Better focus on players with unique/clear product & revenue pipeline (usually it's the DePIN players)
- @AukiNetwork spatial data sharing — maps an entire mall for human and robots to know where things are, robots also know where they're so they can coordinate tasks better
- @geodnet precision GPS for robots — extreme precision GPS (cm-level precision). Drones, robots, self-driving cars can go where they're supposed to go.
@frodobots EarthRover Mini integration of Geodnet: teapaw.org/frodobots/status/19251…
- @NATIXNetwork pioneering world's largest AI camera network — pipeline captures 360° imagery, traffic events used for training self-driving cars, delivery robots, etc.
Auki going thru enterprise pilots in retail & warehousing, GEODNET has rev-generating pipelines (RTK subscriptions, hardware sales, etc) ~$2-3M ARR with 80% to buyback, NATIX partnered with Grab to supply 360 imagery & real-time map updates - 40% of rev goes to buyback
And this guy is one of the best in the DePIN/DePAI field to follow @dylangbane
You're welcome
