Richard Hatch won $1,000,000 on the first season of Survivor. The IRS says he now owes $3.3 million on it. 51 million people watched him win in August 2000. He never paid the tax on the prize. His defense: he says he caught producers sneaking food to other players, and the show promised to cover his taxes if he won. CBS never commented. The appeals court said he never showed any proof of a deal. In 2006 a jury convicted him. He served 51 months in federal prison. In 2011 he went back for nine more, for not fixing his returns. Then the bill kept growing. This March, 26 years after the finale, a federal judge let the IRS collect about $3.3 million with interest. The government put liens on two of his homes in Newport. He is appealing on his own, without a lawyer. In the video below he explains why he thinks the tax was never his to pay. "The taxes on the million were required by law… to have been paid to Malaysia before we left the island… by CBS or Mark Burnett." The case for Hatch: if the show made that promise, he was set up. The case for the IRS: a $1 million check is income. Everyone else pays theirs. Was the first Survivor winner played by the show, or did he try to outwit the wrong player?

Pete Carroll reveals the conversation he had with himself in the seconds after losing the Super Bowl to New England after his controversial decision to throw the ball “You have to prepare for how you win a Super Bowl or how you lose a Super Bowl. The moment after the screwed-up game where we lose, there were about two or three seconds where I said, ‘Okay, this is what you’ve been preparing for all along.’” “‘Here you go. You have to face the whole world. Everybody’s going to be after you. They’re going to try to kill you and kick your ass.’ How are you going to deal with it? Just like you knew you were going to.” “And so I returned to command of the moment in my mind. It didn’t look like it. Nobody knew it. But that’s what happened. If you didn’t prepare for that, then you’d be randomly taking a shot at how you’re going to respond and react.” “You can’t prepare for everything, but you can establish a level of confidence that allows you to trust that you’ll respond in the best way that’s true to who you are.”

BOMBSHELL 🚨 MASSIVE Democrat money laundering operation discovered in Washington state Democrats in the state of Washington are giving massive amounts of money, $150 million+ in some estimates per year to the 29 recognized tribes of Washington State. In return they donate MILLIONS of that money back to Democrats in Washington every year I have verified: - Washington Native American tribes are major financial supporters of the Democratic Party - They contribute millions of dollars across state election cycles - They funnel large donations into state party committees and political action committees like the Senate Democratic Campaign Committee - The tribes also donate to independent state PACs focused on voter mobilization, judicial races, legislative caucuses and ballot measure campaigns to support Democrats - These PACs collect donations from tribal governments and other entities pooling millions of dollars each cycle to run television, digital and mail campaigns supporting Democratic-aligned issues and candidates One giant Democrat money laundering operation Democrats give the tribes an astronomical amount of money. They give back millions and millions each election cycle to Democrats

After watching Ep 1/2 of #survivor51 I think one thing that really stood out to me was this was the least amount of time we have seen Jeff P per episode over that past several yrs, which allowed the cast to realy be showcased, which was awesome! Let them play!!

Activist: "Farmers pump their cows full of antibiotics. It's in every glass of milk." Dairy farmer: "Do you know what happens if it is?" Activist: "People drink it." Dairy farmer: "The tanker gets tested at the gate. One cow's worth of antibiotic in 20,000 litres and the whole load goes down the drain. Every farm on the run that morning gets their milk tipped, and the farm that did it pays for all of it." Activist: "So you're saying it never happens." Dairy farmer: "I'm saying a treated cow on this farm gets red tape round her leg, goes to the back of the parlour, and her milk goes in a bucket for 6 days. I treat her like she's radioactive, because financially she is." Activist: "You still use them." Dairy farmer: "On a cow that's ill. Same as you. The vet writes it up, the date goes on the wall, and the wall's checked. Use on this farm is about half what it was 10 years ago, and that's every dairy I know." Activist: "Routine use in feed, then." Dairy farmer: "Illegal for years. Growth promoters went 20 years ago. You're describing a chicken shed in a country I don't farm in." Activist: "You can't prove it's not in the milk." Dairy farmer: "I can prove it 3 times a week, because they test it 3 times a week and send me the sheet. When did you last get a sheet on your oat drink?" Activist: "That's different." Dairy farmer: "It is. Nobody tests it. Mine's the most inspected liquid in your kitchen and it's the one you're scared of."

🚨 BREAKING: Colorado DNA analyst Yvonne “Missy” Woods sentenced to 10 years after deleting male DNA in 32 rape cases — then reporting none was found. She spent 29 years as CBI’s star expert. Investigators now say 1,045 of her cases are tainted. Over 400 were sexual assaults. One murder conviction already tossed. An intern caught her. Concerns were raised more than a decade earlier. She kept testing rape kits anyway. In court, supporters packed the room. Victims shouted “LIAR! LIAR! LIAR!” as she was cuffed and led out. Colorado is now retesting more than 1,000 cases. Prosecutors already cut plea deals in three murder cases rather than risk her work in front of a jury. #Colorado #DNAScandal #JusticeDenied #CBI #SexualAssault

An apt day to remember that Dolly Parton once recorded a cover of Stairway to Heaven - and, in defiance of every moral law in the universe, she absolutely owned it.

This is an excellent open letter to President Trump by Brian Palmer AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMP Mr. President, You have proposed allowing 300,000 metric tons of imported beef into the United States without the normal above-quota tariff, with the goal of lowering beef prices for American families while giving the American cattle herd time to rebuild. If we’re going to do it, let’s make it a real test and make sure it supports ranchers at the same time. Require every pound of beef receiving that tariff advantage to carry a clear Country of Origin label. And require the package to identify the packer and the country that ultimately owns that company. For example: PRODUCT OF BRAZIL Packed by JBS — Brazilian-owned company USDA Inspected Then put it in the meat case beside beef clearly labeled: BORN, RAISED & HARVESTED IN THE USA PRODUCT OF THE USA Packed by Greater Omaha Packing American family-owned company USDA Inspected Ranchers have no doubt that imported beef can be sold cheaper on its own, but we’ve also removed the tariff so this should be a considerable savings. American families looking for the lowest price will have that choice. But give American ranchers a fair shot too. Don’t let foreign beef receive a tariff advantage, lose its identity somewhere in the supply chain, and then compete in the meat case as though it’s the same product raised by American cattle producers. You should find that you didn’t just save the 25% tariff…lean trim being imported isn’t just filling a supply gap, but it’s also being imported at a lower cost basis than US born and raised. You should save on both. Let’s not forget lean imported trim is blended and disguised today and not differentiated vs our proudly USA Born, Raised and Harvested beef. US beef is worth a premium. Give it a chance to stand on its own feet and support ranchers while give the market an option for an even bigger savings. @realDonaldTrump

Kelley Wentworth’s Cambodia game is still the best non-winning game of all time for me. She is the definition of a fallen angel who fought from the bottom and made it to the end through sheer wit and calculation. She literally was that close to winning.
Idk I’m convinced she gets Ciera, Kass, Abi, Keith, Kimmi and Joe. Other than maybe Andrew/Stephen the jury had a positive perception of her and it’s hard NOT to be swayed towards the underdog especially considering she had no allies most of the game. #survivor #survivor50
