getting sappy, but i really do believe animation is one of humanity's greatest love letters to itself and to the world and to life. I sincerely feel bad for anyone who has drawn some arbitrary line in their mind that has made them believe animation is for children alone
human hands touched every individual frame, tens of thousands of them, to create a believable illusion of life which itself is only possible through both an intense study and love of life. how does that not move you every time!!! how does it not drive you insane!!!

The illustrator of the original ‘WILDWOOD’ book Carson Ellis has a cameo in the film.
“Enjoy handmade art… before it’s gone for good!”
wildwood is one of those animated films that, like spiderverse or arcane or klaus before it, makes you walk out of it thinking that animation is one of the greatest mediums of art and storytelling ever achieved I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it
I also can't stop wondering how half of it was even possible. it's a completely unbelievable film on a technical level. like looking at actual magic

@ laudna fans, i asked marisha what laudna’s parents are called. bridget (or brigitte but she pronounced it bridget) and malcolm bradbury 😌
wildwood is one of the most gorgeous, intentionally crafted films I have ever, ever seen so the fact it was preceded by a clearly AI generated ad was enough to make me start seeing red
