Yes, Fefe the frog in Matt Furie's Mindviscosity is widely seen as a representational surrealist take on Pepe the Frog's journey as a meme, especially on 4Chan. Furie's 2020 art book uses surreal imagery to reflect Pepe's cultural impact, including its appropriation by various groups. Sources like Fantagraphics and fan analyses confirm Fefe symbolizes Pepe's transformation, capturing the chaotic meme experience through a dream-like lens. No major counterarguments dispute this interpretation.
