I think we’ve been taught to build our career backwards.
“Wait until you are ready”………they say.
But what if the fastest way to build experience... is to stop waiting for someone to give it to you?
Currently working on my next ecosystem deep dive into African Gaming and the power of community
Research ✅
Writing currently in progress.
African developers do not need another blockchain community.
After researching @FlareNetworks , I became convinced that most blockchain ecosystems are approaching Africa incorrectly.
I joined a Flare X Space expecting to learn about a blockchain. Instead, I left with a question - Why should I, or anyone else, care about Flare?
The host did a fantastic job explaining the tech, but after all the talk about interoperability, infrastructure, and data, I still couldn't answer that simple question.
So I went down the rabbit hole 👩💻
In this deep dive, I explore:
- Why Flare has a storytelling problem, not a technology problem
- Why grants and hackathons are not enough
- The community model I believe Flare should build in Africa
- The programs, incentives, and engagement mechanisms I would launch if I worked there

Two founders launch the same AI app on the same day.
Founder A spent 6 months perfecting the product.
0 followers. 0 email list.
Launch day: 40 signups, mostly friends.
Founder B spent those 6 months posting about what they were building.
8,000 followers. 1,200 people on the waitlist.
Launch day: 900 signups.
Same idea. Same tools.
Different outcome.
Founder A's app is better.
Nobody will ever find out.
In 2026 the code takes a weekend.
The audience takes a year.
If you're building in silence, you're not being humble.
You're just making it harder for anyone to find you.
Post the ugly version. Share the numbers. Start now.

The smartest broke people I know all have the same problem
They refuse to sell themselves
They think:
- Self-promotion = cringe
- Marketing = sleazy
- Selling = desperate
So they stay brilliant, humble, and broke.
The market can't pay you if it can't find you

your only job is to increase the revenue for your company
the most consequential way to do that is improve product and sell your product
if you are doing anything besides those two things you are losing to competitors who are not
