Suppression of speech and efforts to force “social cohesion” are aggravating factors to extremism and radicalisation. If we want a truly respectful and civil society and debate, we need more speech, not less. This is a pathetic and reprehensible position.
Nationals MP Tim McCurdy has weighed in on the potential motives of the man who tried to kill Helen Haines, & declared his willingness to support new legislation restricting speech online in the aftermath.

After this shocking @helenhainesindi (alleged) attack, some commentators are saying this is the time for Albanese to step up. That it is his John Howard Port Arthur moment & he now has to lead the nation. Given he is the man who cannot speak the words “Islamic Extremism” & who I believe is responsible for the growing intolerance & hatred & rise of anti-Semitism, I think that is virtually impossible. We cannot forgive or forget what he has created in this country. He is no leader. Never was. Never will be.

Global boiling is much a grave threat … they have to fiddle historical data to try and trick you that it’s true. The manipulation is happening on an industrial scale. Major report in The Australian today.

In May 2017, Malcolm Turnbull said ‘Snowy 2’ would cost $2B. In 2024 he apologised and said he should have said $6B. Now it’s up to $40B. Kill this white elephant now.

What’s going on @Barnaby_Joyce ? Members in your own @OneNationAus party have been attending rallies in Queensland about the toxic effects of the fire ant program for years and @MRobertsQLD has not only been leading the fight - but he’s across all the detail. Read that again - and please pick up the phone to @PaulineHansonOz to find out the official party position. @macsween_prue @2GB873 @News24Aust @brobson_politic @Dittloff4Sense

Up to 90k per day not 60k. Energy minister Chris Bowen has spent the last 6 months organising an Aussie taxpayer funded climate junket in Fiji and the only world leader that turned up to it was his equally dim mate Albanese. Australia has to realise these people are sending the country completely broke.
The latest stuff-up on fuel is going to blow your mind. Australia currently has an oversupply problem! Labor incentivised ships to hurry up and wait and it’s costing between $30-$60,000 a day, per ship, going on to the tax bill, then the bowser price!

Albanese today said if you steal taxpayer money and get caught, you just pay it back and get on with your day. We have to change the way we are governed. Not one Federal MP has ever spent a second in prison for stealing taxpayer money since federation.

This bastard betrayed the trust of vulnerable little Indig kids & got a reduced sentence because of his “significant connection to country”. What about having a significant connection to decency & not abusing vulnerable little kids? This special treatment for Aboriginal serial abusers has to stop if we are serious about stamping out sexual abuse & closing the gap. But are we?

So our courts are now "paying respect to elders past and present" by giving them reduced sentences for raping children.

If you force your way into my home, you have chosen the confrontation and the risk. I will use whatever force is necessary to protect my life and stop a rape or assault, no holding back, no duty to retreat. Laws that protect the intruder more than the homeowner in their own house are a systemic failure. Castle Doctrine is an ancient right rooted in common law: a person’s home is their safest refuge. FAFO.

Having watched the TRIGGERnometry episode with Owen Jones, it seems clear what Konstantin is trying to do. He wants to have constructive conversations with woke Marxists to see if common ground can be found. It's admirable, but futile. I spent a decade on the boards of The Guardian and the BBC trying to engage with these people, understand them, see if there was any way we could negotiate or compromise, and what I learned was that there's just no point. It's not that we disagree with each other. It's that we exist on entirely different plains of reality. They think men can get pregnant. They think random Somalians are English. They think Charlie Kirk getting shot is a cause of celebration. They think importing third world rapists is an acceptable trade off for being able to call your society "multicultural." They think that whiteness is evil, capitalism is a sin, the West must be destroyed, Islam is awesome, non-whites cultures are superior, and that mentally vulnerable teenagers should be sterilised and their genitals mutilated. No amount of discussion with an indoctrinated woke Marxist ideologue is going to convince me that I should become one or that they should stop being one. Our perspectives are so diametrically opposed that we may as well be a different species. Furthermore, I don't simply think that they're wrong. I think they're evil. Actively evil, and that the damage they cause is catastrophic and unforgivable. I don't want to find common ground with them anymore. I'm no longer interested in trying to understand them. I don't want to talk to them, I don't want to engage with them, I don't want to see them. I don't care why Owen Jones thinks Hugo Chavez isn't a dictator or why he thinks importing Afghani's statistically far more likely to rape women than native Britons are is acceptable. We should spend a lot less time trying to win them over or convince them that they're wrong, and a lot more time deciding amongst ourselves how we're going to fix the dire situation we find ourselves in.

Reuters is reporting that NSW’s residential stamp duty receipts fell 24% in August compared with a year earlier, as property transactions dropped 18% Could Queensland face similar pressure? Our Government has already forecast a $325 million fall in transfer duty revenue for 2026–27 - Queensland’s actual figures are yet to be released Taxpayers shouldn’t be expected to fill every budget hole Before reaching for higher taxes or more debt, cut waste, bureaucracy and unnecessary government spending. The end.

It's time to bring back 'the fair go', 'mateship', 'larrikinism' and 'egalitarianism'. Richo used to say: "The mob will always work you out" and I believe the mob has worked out the Welcome to Country Ceremony as a controlling power-trip, designed to reinforce division in this country. It's a 'you will sit down, shut-up and pay homage'. And that's not what Australia is or was all about. Modern Australia was founded as a penal colony. Criminals worked alongside soldiers and settlers to build this country, shoulder-to-shoulder, until the lines were blurred to the point where we recognised we were all one, with a common purpose, with no individual better than another due to station in society, privilege or wealth. At the heart of it is 'the fair go' and 'mateship' - two endearing and intrinsically Australian sentiments and characteristics. They served us well until the divisive 1970s. Just ask yourself how many times in more recent decades you've heard the terms 'the fair go' and 'mateship'. Somehow, they got lost by the wayside along with egalitarianism and larrikinism. 'The fair go' is that everyone deserves a chance, no matter who they are. What they choose to do with that chance is up to them. 'Mateship' is showing humanity for your fellow Aussie - helping out when a helping hand is needed, a friendly word or deed and a sense of camaraderie - we're all one. 'Egalitarianism' means that everyone is equal, with no-one given privilege or advantage on the basis of race, religion, culture, colour, creed, sex, sexuality, station in life, privilege or wealth. And 'larrikinism' is that irreverent humour where a bloke rides a motorised esky home from the pub and gets just a warning from the local copper; it's 'our Dawn' stealing a flag; it's Boonie drinking 52 cans on a flight to London; it's Ray Bradbury winning gold by being the only one left standing; it's Bay 13 at the MCG mimicking Merv Hughes warming up; it's Paul Hogan's Leo Wanker, Mary Coustas' Effie Stephanides, Rob Sitch's Imran Khan, it's Magda Szubanski's Lynne Postlethwaite, Pixie-Anne Wheatley and Chenille. It's all those iconoclastic ways we take the piss out of the law, stupid rules or customs, ourselves and each other - and note all of those names above. Where are the larrikins of today? Too scared to take the piss out of anyone or anything. We need to get back to our roots that makes us different, that makes us unique and, ultimately, truly Australian. We need to scrap all advantages given on the basis of race not need. We need to stop the soft bigotry of low expectations by excusing poor behaviour on the basis of race or background because this, in itself, is a masquerade of racism: "That's the best we expect from them - it's fine, even if it wouldn't be acceptable from any other group." We need to place merit more highly and reward excellence, not failure or surrender. Let's bring back 'the fair go', 'mateship', 'larrikinism' and 'egalitarianism' wherever and whenever we can - and let's go back to the Australia we once knew and loved.

I can’t speak for everyone else, obviously, but Parliament resumes today and the sooner this bill/exposure draft - or whatever they want to call it - is scrapped entirely, the better. @macsween_prue @goodfoodgal
