My mother kept a small notebook for every naira she spent. I used to laugh at it. Now I know that notebook paid for my secondary school.
The place I usually hang my clothes whenever I wash them, was removed by my neighbor who recently moved into the compound. She said I can't hang clothes close to her kitchen window.
This lady moved in about three weeks ago and before her, there was a family in that apartment and they never complained of me hanging clothes there. To make everything worse she pulled the line down when my clothes were there, I came back and saw my clothes in a basin instead of being on the line.
I honestly don’t know why she couldn’t just talk to me about it. I’m someone who is willing to make adjustments if there’s a genuine reason, but I don’t think the way she handled it was necessary.
Now, I’m wondering if I’m supposed to just accept this or confront her. Because tell me why someone who just moved into a compound three weeks ago is already making things uncomfortable for another tenant?

When I was in school, I dated a guy from a broke home. He received ₦5k monthly, while I got ₦30k–₦40k weekly from my parents and brothers.
Money wasn’t my problem; loyalty was. I cooked for him, fed him morning and night, bought him clothes and shoes so he could look presentable around my friends, and even lent him my laptop.
One night, I decided to surprise him at his place. There was light in his room but none outside. Their doors and windows were open for fresh air, he couldn't afford fan and I caught him doing his thing with another woman. 😭
I left without confronting him.
The next morning, this same guy showed up at my place for breakfast! 🤣🤣
That was how I narrated everything I had seen and drove him out of my house. He cried like, he literally called everyone to beg me. But hey, I have moved on immediately.
Omo, till today, whenever I remember the clothes and shoes I bought for this guy to look presentable around my friends and how I was feeding him, e still dey pain me! 😭🤣
