Keir Starmer’s government betrayed our farmers by introducing the family farm tax.
We’ve repeatedly called for it to be reversed.
And urged our governments to stand up for farming.
In next week’s budget Labour must finally axe the family farm tax.

Food price caps are a ridiculous idea.
The SNP had no idea how they’d work when they announced them (during the election campaign…), they’d no idea of what unintended consequences might be, and they still have no idea on these now.
But they did gave them a great opportunity to pick a fight with Westminster, to point fingers at businesses and to divert attention from their long list of other failures.
A classic dead cat strategy.

If you want peace plan for war. Without a clear path to 3% of GDP by 2030 on defence spending we will be left vulnerable as a nation.

Brilliant to see Dumfries and Galloway recognised as one of the world's best travel destinations for 2027 by National Geographic!

An analysis by The Sunday Times shows that the loss of pubs has been far greater in rural and small-town Scotland than in Scotland's cities.
Dumfries and Galloway has seen a 16% decline in pub numbers over the last decade. While pub closures have been a challenge across the country, rural areas are being hit hardest.
Pubs play a crucial role in many of our towns and villages. They support jobs, attract visitors, contribute to the local economy and act as important hubs that bring communities together.
The SNP must take meaningful action to support rural hospitality businesses, protect local economies and ensure that promised business rates reform delivers real benefits for communities such as those in Dumfries and Galloway.
Rural pubs are disappearing faster than those in urban areas, leaving residents mourning much more than the loss of somewhere to drink thetimes.com/uk/scotland/art…

Scottish farmers have warned that domestic food production is being threatened by energy prices and imports.
Both of Scotland’s governments must now take immediate action to ensure they are backing our farmers and prioritising food our security.

🛢️That starts with backing Scotland's oil and gas industry.
