I like the cut of this man’s jib.
Alcohol brings people together; religion tears them apart.
For decades, these sanctimonious, self-righteous puritans and holier-than-thou religious zealots have relentlessly demonized alcohol, preaching endlessly about its supposed evils and dangers.
Yet the evidence points squarely in the opposite direction: a cold beer or a shared drink fosters camaraderie, laughter and genuine human connection far more effectively than any sermon.
Ironically, both alcohol and organized religion were force-fed to us by the same colonial masters @UKinKenya .
So if anyone is clutching pearls over Kenyans enjoying a drink, unwinding, and actually having fun - kindly take it up with management.
A fantastic and very poignant and awfully sad podcast on the late great Robin Smith. Hero for English cricket fans in 90s.

Very sad news.
Robin Smith has died aged 62.
Smith played 62 Test matches for England, as well as making over 600 appearances for Hampshire.
Rest peacefully, Robin. ❤️
Finally an advert that shows it all...except maybe the betting but that's taboo these days, still a good advert.
Think this is great content for the Aussies. Good to see crossover with Jack as an ambassador and promoting the sport, he sounds like he knows his stuff. Has to be some UK/IRE sports people out there to promote the sport with this Knowledge.
