Someone wrote to me, "Your paintings aren't very good, but you're beautiful."
I thought it didn't bother me, but it really did.
But honestly, I was waiting for the first person to tell me they "didn't like" my paintings, to see how I'd feel, to see if I was ready for a "fu" without arguments or facts. And I think I understand it all, but I'm still a bit upset. I want to delete social media and hide.
I make two typical beginner's mistakes: first, I'm interested in everything, and you can't do everything at once. Self-realization is somehow tied to the possibility of monetization. And money is where the focus is.
Because home comfort is closer to basic needs than the image of a demon that reflects the narcissistic traumas of the millennial generation.
Every night when I put Bubochka to bed, I feel like my battery is drained. I often pass out next to her, leaving the dishes unwashed and the picture unfinished.
When I draw or learn to draw, it's time won in the battle with realityβwhen work isn't busy, when the kids are playing with each other, when lunch and dinner are in the fridge, just waiting to be warmed up for the appointed time.
