We're really looking forward to it too, as it will bring a great local perspective to the post-war Windrush migrations that we've boon looking at in our 'War to Windrush' history theme.
Coming next week @fircroftSW17 'The Story of Planet Tooting' and how migration has been such a force for good in our wonderful area Look forward to seeing you all again! #peace #love #flowertothepeople
Always an absolute pleasure to have you visit us @fircroftSW17 Geoff! Looking forward to your next visit after half term, when you'll be giving us the local perspective on the Windrush migrations and their impact.
Honestly, the warmth of the welcome I was given by Year Six @fircroftSW17 just blew me away today! What an afternoon learning about 'Tooting in WW2' inc local wartime memories of the late John Yeoman kindly posted to me by his son Seth all the way from #Perth #WesternAustralia
It's been a great start to the new school year, with much to celebrate already - like the achievements of our first two sets of junior Stars of the Week!
Lastly, we celebrated the achievements of our wonderful @Y6_Fircroft pupils with certificates, goody bags and special sports and performing arts cups. The whole year group completely embody our values of Confidence, Creativity and Community and we couldn't be prouder of them!
We also celebrated achievements in our 3 C's of pupils @Y4_Fircroft and @Y5_Fircroft
To finish another incredible year, we have been celebrating achievements in our 3 school values of: Confidence, Creativity and Community. A huge well done to all our Infant Stars of the Term!
The infants love a Let's Rock concert too! Well done to our talented performers @Y1_Fircroft and @Y2_Fircroft
It wouldn't be summer without a Let's Rock concert! Well done to all the children @Y3_Fircroft @Y4_Fircroft @Y5_Fircroft and @Y6_Fircroft who performed in the Junior concert.
And not many schools can boast that they have a paleontologist and published author at their Summer Fair! A huge thankyou to Fircroft Family's very own Professor Goswami for sharing her new book DIg Dig Dinosaur @FircroftPTA Summer Fair today!
We've also had performances from Mr Marrow's equally talented singers at our @FircroftPTA Summer Fair today.
