The entire FireBrick range is designed with energy efficiency in mind. We have written up some measurements we made on our FB2900-A (Automotive low voltage DC version); ideal for remote WISP sites perhaps operating from solar/wind, or for in-vehicle use. firebrick.co.uk/about/news/F…

Today we are announcing a retro-fit PSU kit for the superseded FB2700. This entirely new design, completely different from the original, will bring the unit's reliability up to the level we had always intended. firebrick.co.uk/about/news/a… The kit is free to owners of FB2700s. 1/2

If it seems unusual that we would do this, for a product we've not sold for two years, and which in most cases will be out of warranty, then, yes, it is! For this reason, and also for general interest, we've produced a detailed technical blog about it. firebrick.co.uk/about/news/f…

As we've hinted in one or two conversations with customers, work has commenced, and is progressing well, on our own full implementation of NTP in the FireBrick. Now at the stage of optimising accuracy, this new toy has arrived! #researchanddevelopment

Interestingly I was in telehouse north yesterday and walked past a 47u rack practically full of firebricks, and I mean full, it's quite something. 5 years is a great warranty!

We are happy to announce we are extending the manufacturer's warranty on all FB2900s. All will now be 5 years long from date of purchase. This change is retrospective, so even if you bought your FB2900 with a shorter warranty, your warranty date has been extended free of charge.
