"The Government of Tamil Nadu reiterates the State long pending demand to abolish NEET and permit the States to fill all seats under the State quota in MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses on the basis of Class 12 marks," said Chief Minister C.Joseph Vijay in statement, urging the Union government to cancel the NEET-based admissions in medial courses.
Previously, former CM M.K Stalin M.K. Stalin moved a Bill in 2021 and a Resolution in 2024 urging the Union government to scrap NEET and restore medical admissions based on Class XII marks.
