I would never blame or punish the movies for being over-discussed online. I think a lot of the frustration people nurture against movies are the conviction that you'll get some sort of reward for giving it too much time. And cinema doesn't owe anything to anyone.

I don’t think movie piracy is a moral issue but I do think a lot of people wouldn’t feel the need if movies came out at roughly the same time everywhere. A heavily staggered global release schedule seems unnecessary in the online era (and film festivals already fill that role)
