🇨🇮 19-year-old Abdoulaye Doumbia is such an exciting young talent. A CM/CDM (probably best in a double pivot) who covers so much distance on the pitch. On top of that, he is incredibly press-resistant. Has an excellent passing range and makes a lot of good line-breaking passes. 📊 In the Allsvenskan this season, he ranks among the top five midfielders for passes into the final third (9.38 per 90 minutes) and in the top 10 midfielders for progressive passes (8.09 per 90 minutes). He's really comfortable in the build-up phase for Hacken. Will always look to drop and receive. Does well to stay composed under pressure and find the right options. Defensively, he is top tier. He reads the game extremely well, capable of covering a lot of spaces and knows when to press and hold. Averages 10.56 recoveries per 90 minutes this season with 45% of those coming in the opposition's half. He also averages the fourth-most successful defensive actions (9.58 per 90 minutes) among midfielders and ranks first for possession-adjusted interceptions (7.54 per 90 minutes). He is relatively quick and his anticipation is excellent. I think he's already good enough to play for a lower-tier top five team in Europe. But his ceiling might be good enough to play for a UCL level club in the future. Probably needs to develop a bit more physically in order to make that leap. His playing style and profile reminds me a bit of Lamine Camara right now. One to keep a close eye on.

The game changed when Nyoni came off. Thought Liverpool had the momentum until then. Never quite managed to seize control again after he came off.

🇭🇳 #LFC youngster Keyrol Figueroa has 4 goals for club and country in his last 354 minutes on the pitch. Averaging a goal every 88.5 minutes in his last 8 games. Doing really well on loan at Port Vale. Has brilliant positional awareness inside the box. And an excellent finisher, too.

🇭🇺 Erik Farkas is averaging a goal or assist every 61 minutes for #LFC's youth sides this season. ⚽️ 6 goals 🅰️ 3 assists 👕 553 minutes played Incredible output from the attacking midfielder. He's so technical and elegant on the ball. One of the best first touches in academy football. And an elite vision to pick out the perfect pass or through ball. Liverpool really have a special player on their hands.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 He just scored a hat-trick in 45 minutes in his first ever start for Arsenal's U18s. 6 goals in 4 games in the U18 Premier League for Liverpool and Arsenal. Only 16-years-old. Vincent Joseph is special.

🇬🇪 I spoke about Tornike Kvaratskhelia before. He's catching my eye again in the UEFA Youth League. - 3 games - 2 goals - 2 assists All in the space of 197 minutes. He's contributing a goal or assist every 50 minutes or so. Pretty special to be doing this at 16-years-old. Has plenty of first-team experience for Dinamo Tbilisi, too. Plays very similarly to his brother. Brilliant technical player, very direct and excels in one vs one situations.

🇸🇳 Massiré Sylla has seriously impressed me as one of the best young CBs playing outside of Europe's top five leagues. An impressive physical profile at 6'5 (196cm) who plays as the middle CB in Union SG's back three. What stands-out to me about him is how front-footed he is as a defender. His reaction times are extremely fast. He reads the game well and is able to step in quickly to win the ball time and time again. He is very strong in the air. His reading of the ball and understanding of when to engage is impressive. The numbers reflect that, too. He wins 81.4% of his 4.07 aerial duels per 90 minutes. Solid in one vs one duels (76.3% defensive duels won from 5.64 per 90 minutes). He is strong and uses his body well to take the ball off his opponent, taking advantage of his physical superiority. I think he is comfortable on the ball, has a good technical base. However, sometimes he has room to improve his pass selection. If he can develop that area of his game, his ceiling could be very high. For now, I think it's a matter of time until he makes the step-up to a mid-level team in Europe's top five leagues. He's been playing in a back three at Union SG but I think he is more than capable of playing in a back four as well. Interestingly, he was even used as a midfielder in his younger years when playing in Norway. At just 21-years-old, the sky is the limit.
