Ahh just in time for the weekend. Happy Friday boys!
I had a hard time believing this… but I had fx.sh build a repro with 𝚊𝚕𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚎:𝟹.𝟸𝟺. ① Type in a wrong password ② Type in a > 256 chars password ③ root Alpine team has pushed a fixed apk for 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚜𝚜𝚑-𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚟𝚎𝚛 (𝟷𝟶.𝟹_𝚙𝟷-𝚛𝟸)

This! it has been a game changer
Made a video on my Grok Bot + Cursor/T3 Code setup Been doing more and more of my dev work this way it's such a clean way of working

This one isn't so funny anymore eh?
Gradient descent can write code better than you. I'm sorry.

this blows my mind. agents have officially rewritten what building looks like in a team environment want to know what team is shipping the hardest? here you go. t3code is shipping differently vs other projects, including larger projects above it. they have a multitude more of velocity. hats off to the t3 team. you guys are changing how we all work.

Reviewing my metrics I found this: 24 October: - Orpheus CI gate median fell 37.7 → 14.5 minutes (61% shorter). 26 October: - Biggest daily increase, 107 → 247 PRs. I been tweaking how I work for past couple of weeks. I tried to learn as much as I can from Antrophics 30K PR article, taking hints from @poteto, @theo, @jullerino, @mattpocockuk and other people doing great work. Gotta say: @poteto /create-verification-skill is world class. It was like finding the missing piece of a puzzle. It gave structure to a process I was doing manually (and beeing terrible at it, skill issues🤡) It was SO worth it, we are at a point in time where extracting every ounce of performance matters. This included: - Adopting Grokbot as my coding interface. - Spending time creating really good verification skills. - Buying a dedicated beefy CI/CD box and optimizing the HELL our of it. - Optimizing T3 code - Grokbot workflow. - Automating routine work with Grokbot so I can focus on development: QA Bug triage with the team, documentation, dependency updates, VPS management, etc. The componding effect is crazy.

October has been fun.

The real AI psychosis is thinking "this is just another tool" or "it's just a stochastic parrot" and "humans still need to review every line". You gotta snap out of it.

Remember when I said we should only look at output and quality. If you make good stuff, then people should not care if you do or don't use AI... Or how you use it, or when you use it...

Been using a bunch of @bot as orchestrators to lunch a swarm of workers on @t3dotcodes across my fleet of Boxes. This has been beyond amazing. This stack is goated: - CLI proxy (for 3-4x AI accounts) - T3 Code (the local workbench) - Grokbot (the always on orchestrator listening to slack/hooks/etc) Seriously, try it out. Yesterday!

now that we all agreed to not review most of the code any more, CI became the next bottleneck at agent speed, if our CI pipeline is simply "run all the build, lint, tests", it'll become a major slow down here are a few things i suggest for how to optimize: 1. balance load between CI and CD CI protects main branch. CD protects production. if you can tolerate some delay in deploying your main branch to production, then you can do less in CI and do more in CD for example, for a cross platform app i made my CI pipeline skip most mac and windows tests because linux already covered the same functionality the tradeoff is occasionally i'd catch a mac or windows-only bug in CD before release, but in exchange, my CI pipeline became 15x faster - well worth it 2. modularize your codebase such that changes are isolated then you can make your CI only run build, lint, test for the module being touched this requires careful consideration for cross-module protocols. they should likely be their own modules, so when they do change, you know you probably need to test all dependent modules 3. for large modules, invest in test selection in CI, try to only run tests that are covering the areas being changed. doing accurate test selection is not easy though, and often requires continuous tuning i have a nightly loop specifically doing audit of past test runs and tweak my test selection to be more accurate. a big codebase of mine got pretty good at this - 20x faster CI compared to running all tests, and almost never miss any real problem

The r/OpenSource subreddit has officially banned anything using AI. In any way. Violators will be permanently banned. Which means… r/OpenSource will ban anyone submitting anything that, in any way, involves… the Linux kernel. reddit.com/r/opensource/comm…

Oh boy, went from 20 PRs a day to ~120. Not on @poteto levels but after a couple perf iterations and getting a beefy dedicated worker box it should jump again. Fun times.
