To speak honestly is one of our weapons, to be open, and to be clear. Not to play games with our partners. This is my rule of thumb. There is a lot of pressure on Ukraine at the moment, and of course I have to be louder. And I will be, because it's part of our defense strategy. We are not trying to be somebody else. If I feel that dangerous things are looming over Ukraine, I have to defend my country. And I do what I can, like our soldiers on the battlefield and people who work for Ukraine. And I, the President, have to use every format of diplomacy.

Should have stuck with Saab. The Gripen-E won the first Swiss fighter contest, but that order was cancelled after a pacifist backed referendum went 53.4% against. The Swiss government then blocked Saab from competing in the follow up contest awarded to the F35.

A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene.
Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.

Another note for SpaceX attorneys and PR: There was no need to issue an alert at all. Your own internal data showed a safe 2km pass. But you issued a 400m collision alert anyway. Why? Because the alert itself is the weapon. Issuing it triggered FCC Cond 16, legally freezing ICEYE so it couldn't dodge. STARLINK-35856 didn't use its auto-evasion. It just parked there and kept the false alarm blaring while Russia sprinted in. It wasn't an accident.
SpaceX Blocked A U.S. And NATO Satellite to Assist a Russian Intercept After Crippling Ukraine's Air Defenses
The Math Proves the Reality that Musk doesn't want you to see.
On Oct 13-14, SpaceX restricted Starshield/Starlink during a 39-missile Russian attack, cutting Ukrainian drone intercepts by 23% and stranding U.S. personnel in Kyiv. Forty-eight hours later (Oct 15), SpaceX blocked U.S.-licensed NRO, Space Force, and NATO radar satellite ICEYE-X36 in orbit so Russia's COSMOS 2612 weapon could intercept it (99.89%-99.98% posterior)
Our Model Demonstrates that the Russian intercept of the US/NATO ICEYE X-36 satellite (contemporaneous with the throttling of Starlink) would not have been possible, and almost certainly not been attempted, without SpaceX resources. At a material opportunity cost, Russia sprinted its COSMOS satellite to intercept ICEYE X36. Based on a previous attempt in June during which X36 maneuvered to evade COSMOS, Russia knew that this would be successful only if X36 could not maneuver. On October 15, SpaceX fixed X36 in place by issuing a collision alert for a sub-kilometer approach with its Starlink 35856 when SpaceX's own data shows that the actual distance was 4.8-5.0x as great. SpaceX issued no warning to COSMOS despite the fact that its sprint was far more threatening than the stable X36 orbit. SpaceX did not maneuver its Starlink 35856 satellite to clear the supposed collision risk. How, absent coordination with SpaceX, could Russia have known that SpaceX would take actions that (a) misrepresented the danger posed by X36, and (b) resulted in the fixing of X36 thereby enabling COSMOS's successful intercept? Thus, SpaceX was directly involved in simultaneously compromising Ukraine’s defensive and offensive capabilities. The conjunction of these two events makes innocent explanations untenable.
The Pentagon Capture & Iran Round Two Trap: Pentagon CTO Emil Michael who cashed out $7M–$35M from Musk’s inner-circle SpaceX vehicles (M8/Gigafund 0.1 and M6/Valor M33 II) and KQ Partners / xAI (selling xAIfor $5M–$25M three days before taking over CDAO/OSCand 21 days before SpaceX bought xAI, while keeping M8, M6, M9, M10 & Nomadic open) and Pete Hegseth purged rival Anthropic in two hours, surrendered combat command over US drones used to attack Iran to Starlink’s "Terms of Service," and on October 2 named Musk Co-Director of Project Meridian to design the Pentagon's "Future of Warfighting" just as America enters Iran Round Twowith depleted Patriot/THAAD magazines and Russia feeding U.S. warship/aircraft locations to Tehran.
SpaceX’s actions in Ukraine raise serious questions about its alignment with US security interests and its reliability as a cornerstone of US defense. These questions are particularly troubling given the effectively irreplaceable position SpaceX has been granted by the Hegseth/Emil Michael Pentagon.

“Russia is a highly dependent, resource-exporting, declining periphery.
Because the state has been privatized, it no longer really exists as such.
There’s only clan-based shadow governance, which means Russia is in a state of complete disarray, with different clans competing against each other.”

Interestingly enough, we were never granted licenses to produce these missiles because our "partners" in the US fear that if we scale up production, a bunch of countries will no longer depend on the US—and they can't let that happen at any cost!
Someone is terrified for their profits, while we're over here fearing for our lives.

A day after Ukraine inflicted at least seven Storm Shadow hits on Russia's Energiya defense plant in Russia's Lipetsk region, now assessed at a total loss.
Operating since 1941, this facility developed and manufactures specialized chemical power sources used in Russia's Iskander-M and Iskander-K missiles, hypersonic Kinzhal and Zircon missiles, Pantsir air defense systems, and other precision-guided weapons.
Ukraine continues precision strikes on Russia's military and industrial complex using it's new array of Storm Shadow missiles, today successfully targeting another node in Moscow's missiles production capabilities.
This afternoon, the largest specialized military battery manufacturer, the Energia factory in Yelets, Lipetsk Oblast, was hit.
Operating since 1941, this 85-year-old factory is the ONLY producer of critical power units for Russia’s Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Iskander-K cruise missiles, Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, Kh-35U anti-ship missiles, and guided aerial bombs.
These specialized batteries power missile guidance and control systems, making Energia a critical supplier to Russia’s weapons industry.
Thick columns of smoke rose above the industrial complex following today’s attack.

Europe’s public bank makes a totally fair loan to Airbus, which would be beneficial for European industry.
And for some reason, the US has a problem with that, deciding to punish Europe for it. Why? Because the US does not want Europe to prosper. It wants it weak and dependent and subjugated.
Europe will not be subjugated. Europe will not be bullied. In retaliation, we should stop buying from Boeing completely. Their planes are crap anyway and a public safety hazard.
Today, Ambassador Greer issued a statement regarding the status of the U.S.-EU deal to pause duties on certain EU imports, following a record-breaking loan from the European Investment Bank to Airbus.

I met with the defence ministers of France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom in Paris today for talks on support for Ukraine, European defence and the conflicts in the Middle East.
There is a new diplomatic push for peace in Ukraine, but Putin's actions tell a different story.
In recent days, Russia has again launched heavy attacks on Kyiv and sunk civilian ships in the Black Sea.
There is little hope for imminent peace in Ukraine. Our task is to help Ukraine withstand the attacks and increase the costs for Russia.
This month, the EU has adopted the largest sanctions listings against Russia since the war started, and more are in the works.

🇲🇩🇺🇦 MOLDOVA AND UKRAINE SIGN FIVE-YEAR DEFENCE AGREEMENT
Moldova and Ukraine signed a five-year military-technical cooperation agreement in Kyiv on October 26, focusing on counter-drone capabilities, air defence and joint defence projects.
The agreement includes:
• Access to Ukraine's battlefield-tested technologies and expertise in countering drones.
• Joint defence research, development and potential military production.
• Cooperation on cybersecurity, surveillance and airspace protection.
• Modernisation, maintenance and testing of military equipment.
• Protection of critical infrastructure.
Notably, Moldova's Defence Minister said that the country has recorded more than 100 airspace violations since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Moldova is particularly interested in Ukraine's relatively inexpensive, combat-proven counter-drone solutions.
The agreement can be automatically extended after five years and does not alter Moldova's constitutional neutrality.
No specific equipment transfers have been announced.

Good reporting. The F35 Blk4 upgrade still seems to have big problems & the GAO isn’t allowed to report them. While the June Modernization report was blocked, the June Readiness report was released. It showed costs are up & readiness is down. We need a mixed fleet ASAP.
The first F-35 was transferred to Canada on Oct. 9 and the second on Oct. 21. But DND and the RCAF won't say whether they have been given a potentially controversial report on the status of the F-35's modernization program.
