One in nine Wisconsinites fought in the Civil War. The U.S. House voted 415-14 to create a holiday to honor their sacrifice in ending slavery.
Tom Tiffany was one of the 14 to vote against it-- and the ONLY member from a Union state to vote against it.
He also voted against removing Confederate statues from the U.S. Capitol.
He's also the same guy that said the back in the good old days, "diversity" just meant mixing Guernseys in with the Holsteins.
Also the same guy that is getting NEARLY ALL his of campaign money from Dick Uihlein, whose father was a white supremacist and segregationist deep pocket... and Dick Uihlein says his dad, more than anyone else, shaped his beliefs.
So, if you're wondering why someone would think it's a good idea to want a picture next to something celebrating the leader of the Confederate Army... that's why.
