Two butchers closed recently in north Wicklow. Two farmers here, one in beef wants to get out and one tillage not sowing now because of fert cost. Giant rise in costs means less food will be produced and it’ll cost even more next year. Gov needs to seriously tool up for this now
I always try remain positive in what I do. However with the cost of living & cost of production rising daily, I am really afraid for all our future. Being self employed has never been so stressful & I've traded through recession & covid.I hope I'm not alone in my thoughts 💣 😔

Can't recall a more wretched sight/sound in European football lately than thousands of Czech children booing Glen Kamara's every touch for Rangers against Sparta Prague. Inside a stadium meant to be closed by UEFA because of fans' racism. Appalling. #NoToRacism #Europe

Johnson’s response to the European Super League confirms what Heseltine said of him - he is a man who waits to see which way the crowd is running, and then dashes in front and says 'follow me'.

Yesterday 1 year ago we closed both our restaurants and opened a bottle of champagne for the staff that had been working so hard and during such an odd time. Hard to believe we are still closed. Hopefully we will get to open our doors again ⁦@dublinklaw⁩ ⁦@KlawCafe⁩

You couldn’t make this up. How utterly insensitive
The chairman of Failte Ireland heads to the Mediterranean while the organisation is spending millions telling people to holiday at home this year. Michael Cawley told ⁦@Independent_ie⁩ it’s ok because he’ll also take two staycations in Sept/Oct! independent.ie/irish-news/to…

Only knew of Tomas through his wine reviews but the outpouring of love and respect for him over the last few days on twitter has been uplifting and heartwarming but also heartbreaking for his family and all of his friends. What a lovely way to be thought of. Rest in peace.

Bereft at the news. A lovely intelligent gentle witty man. And a dear friend.
We are heartbroken at the loss of Tomás Clancy. A gentleman, and the best colleague you could ask for. We will miss him so much businesspost.ie/27913ca8?utm…

He was the truest of friends and a perfect gentle-man. Working with Tomás on ‘Intermezzo’ was an absolute joy. Visiting wine regions together was untrammeled delight. He will be greatly missed. RIP.

Tonight, to quote Shakespeare obscurely, I’m as melancholy as the drone of a Lincolnshire bagpipe. Irish wine people will know why.

They got it all wrong, conal would be going to DCU on a gaa scholarship not Trinity and he wouldn’t need a part time job because he would be on expenses going back to Sligo twice a week for training in a car sponsored by Kia #NormalPeople

The father of French boxer Alexis Vastine put his son’s 2012 Olympics outfit up for auction to help raise money for healthcare workers in France. Alexis died in a helicopter crash in 2015. Aymeric Laporte bought the boxing gear before giving it straight back to Vastine’s dad. 👏

Dr. Chowdhury is dead. He died needlessly. He won't hear the clapping tonight. He warned the Prime Minister of the coming dangers and now a family are without their Dad. But keep on likening Boris to Churchill, keep likening this to 'The War'. It isn't the war, it just isn't.
