everyone repeat after me: polling from orgs that do not publish detailed methodology is always bullshit (also a survey of a non-randomized selection from a group of attendees who have already self selected into an event is not statistically sound)
75% of fans believe Sprint events add greater value to a season’s calendar, according to data cited by F1.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
F1 states "data shows 75% of F1 fans believe Sprint events add greater value" without disclosing any survey source, methodology, sample, or date. A 2021 official F1/Motorsport Network global fan survey (167k+ responses) found just 6.7% believed sprints improved the show.

I wish I lived my life like this too, because I would like to know, but it’s an unusual choice in a world fixated on instant gratification and success over loyalty, honor, and bond. Charles Leclerc ur an old guard of the traditions. Love you xx

Safe to say Charles Leclerc isn't a fan of qualifying under these new regulations:
"I honestly can’t stand qualifying, it’s a f**king joke! I go faster in corners, throttle earlier, for f**k’s sake, i'm losing everything in the straight!"

"The role of a reporter is not to be a fan".
Not directly linking this to the ongoing furore, but I do feel this is a fundamental thing many fans don't realise, and it clouds the way news is interpreted. – at Ireland
🧵 Worth keeping in mind that a good chunk of the content you digest/share/aggregate is because F1 has press that is without censorship & intimidation.
If they didn’t, many of the media sessions would look like the ones from the private Barcelona shakedown where drivers are asked only straightforward questions that hardly reveal anything interesting. For example, we didn’t find out how the drivers truly felt about the new cars until media was allowed back for Bahrain testing.
The role of a reporter is not to be a fan. They can & should give individuals their deserved praise in moments of greatness but they should ask tough, critical questions while maintaining professionalism in other moments too.
It’s also not clickbait if it’s an article you don’t like or is a column, which isn’t a news article at all but a designed opinion piece.
People can also be nuanced & agree or disagree with one action & then feel differently about something separate. This is not a gotcha. Just because I say I like pizza doesn’t mean I hate pasta.
The subject being interviewed also has the right to communicate or do as they please if they feel a reporter is out of line. You can make your own opinion if you feel today’s actions to expel the journalist were justified & no one can take that from you. I personally think it wasn’t justified & there were probably better ways to go about it without making it into what it currently is but that’s just my opinion & admittedly, a biased one at that.
I just wanted to help clear up the role of what a journalist does because I feel like many don’t understand how that works.
I’ll go back into my box of niche stats now.

Hello! I'm the artist of this cover and I have never used AI, this was totally made on Procreate with my own hands and ideas :)) As for the misspelling, unfortunately I did not do that text in the top left corner.
