Labour has released its first campaign ad for the 2026 general election, calling out the record of the current coalition government and signalling the fight for November 7 is well underway. The campaign is officially launched up, with Labour working hard for a change of government as election day draws closer.
Good morning from Queenstown! Fresh snow on the mountains from overnight. #nzpol
The Man Behind the Silence
There are men who believe elections are decided by speeches, promises and the counting of votes. Such men understand very little about power and the control of information especially in politics. Real influence moves quietly through corridors, behind closed doors, where decisions are made before the public understands their consequences. That’s why I called my company Quiet Pact Network.
I know the influence I had on this election, and both National and Labour would do well to remember that political power is never as secure as those who possess it imagine. I have observed both sides closely enough to understand that what is presented to the public is not always the complete picture. My silence should never be mistaken for ignorance, nor should my restraint be confused with loyalty to anyone. I have chosen discretion, but that choice belongs entirely to me. In the old traditions of the lodge under Freemasonry, there are pillars, obligations and men who swear solemn oaths beneath the square and compass. Yet even within the most carefully guarded chambers, one principle remains unchanged; that knowledge carries weight, and truth cannot be extinguished by ceremony.
National and Labour may feel they have control in their parliamentary chambers, of their advisers and their machinery of influence. But they do not command me. I am neither a servant waiting for instructions nor a faithful little pup pup who can be called to heel with promises of favour.
Some men believe that everyone has a price, that enough money can purchase silence and turn an independent voice into an obedient one. They misunderstand the nature of the man standing before them.
The most powerful man in a room is not necessarily the one who speaks the loudest. Sometimes it is the one who knows what has not yet been said. And as every Master Mason understands, the strength of a structure depends upon what lies beneath its polished stone.

I didn’t vote for your political party because of Tim Jago, the former ACT Party president who served from 2019 to 2023. He was convicted of sexually abusing two teenage boys and sentenced to two and a half years in prison. In July this year, he received a further 18-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to another sexual violation charge. His history and association with your political party, David Seymour, played a significant role in my decision not to vote for ACT. #nzpol

Labour has the best policies protecting free speech and keeping debate healthy and responsible. #nzpol
Labour has promised a “Digital Duty of Care” law, with a new online regulator to enforce it. The Greens’ manifesto pledges to extend hate speech laws to cover religion. And National’s under-16 social media ban can’t work without checking every New Zealander’s age.
Which party would leave you freer to speak after 7 November? Make your case in the comments 👇
It should be illegal to change voting laws without a referendum. Labour needs to reverse this draconian law change when elected. #nzpol
Last #NZ election, 450,000 of the special votes cast were by those who enrolled in the 2 weeks before the election. 110,000 enrolled on the day. This is the scale of the potential disenfranchisement of the Govt law change stopping enrolment on 25 October:

Drinks last night! Living the DREAM rent free in the minds of all those little scumbags on this app. Time they grow up instead of having a cry about how George Soros allegedly pays me. Move along.
Ordered a Starbucks in Queenstown. I always order with the name “Simon” because, it could actually be my real name.
