Rabbi Dr Romain of Dignity in Dying claims to welcome debate but uses bully boy tactics to physically shut down a middle age barrister calmly countering his falsehoods… How, then, can we believe his story that people will not be coerced into assisted suicide if it becomes law?

Claiming to welcome debate at their Reform conference meeting, Dignity in Dying’s Rabbi Jonathan Romain ordered his six foot plus heavy to wrestle the microphone from a barrister to shut down his calm, factual correction of their narrative. Their story cannot bear scrutiny.

Speaking from the north, can I just say…

Amidst all of this scandalous nonsense, it was good to see Sir Edward Leigh properly (and, it appears, uniquely) properly dressed for a state occasion.
