One of the best things about FPAC is the people you get to cheer on. Today, we’ve got two very good reasons to do just that. @AlyshaTse has received the 2026 FP Canada Emerging Leader Award. @FinPlanProf has received the 2026 FP Canada Fellow Distinction. FP Canada recognizes individuals whose leadership, dedication, and service help advance professional financial planning in Canada. Both are leaders in our community, and we’re proud to see their contributions recognized. We’re also proud to keep such good company. Awesome people make a community like FPAC worth belonging to. Because awesomeness is contagious 💪 Members share skills, expertise and perspectives. From every career path, from every career stage. And we all walk away stronger & wiser. That’s a big part of what makes FPAC special. A place that attracts awesome financial planners, who care about & uplift each other. Alysha and Tanya, thank you for sharing some of your awesomeness with us. We’re proud to be your peers, and tickled to be your fellow FPACers, every single day. Please join us in celebrating these two incredible professionals 🎉 Read more here → lnkd.in/gh3zxAJF

Managing the money will only get us so far. Financial planning has always been about more than the numbers. The future of our profession asks us to bring that belief more fully into our work. To understand the person. What they want from life. And how we can help them get there. That’s the conversation we’re opening up at the next public event from FPAC Education. Joining us is Dennis Moseley-Williams, a sizzling speaker whose message gets to the heart of what FPAC is about. His topic? The Transformation Economy. The shift from wealth management to wealthcare. From managing assets to helping people achieve their aspirations. A healthier, wealthier, wiser life. And that asks something different of the advisor–client relationship. Happy clients. Satisfied clients. What if we could go further? Help them feel understood. Connected. Like they belong. Because human connection matters. And in the age of AI, it matters even more. Dennis will explore where value has shifted, what clients expect, and the conditions that make transformation possible. He’ll also introduce three frameworks to help us think through what this means for our work. Join us. FPAC Public Educational Webinar The Transformation Economy: From Wealth Management to Wealthcare Thursday, October 8 1 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. MT / 10 a.m. PT Register here → us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regi… P.S. Thinking about FPAC membership? This webinar is open to non-members and offers a taste of what FPAC Education is all about. Specialized, advanced, expert-led programming. Within a professional community that shares your commitment to helping people flourish.

How did @AlyshaTse do in the Hot Seat at FinFires this year? 🌶️ Watch this clip for the Moment of Truth. It’s the one-two punch at the heart of this annual FPAC tradition. A hot sauce-soaked chicken wing that had both Alysha and @adamchapman catching their breath. Can the Hot Seater handle BOTH the hot sauce and the heated question? (A financial planning would-you-rather, in the finest FinFires tradition. Sorry, members only.) Alysha was up to the challenge, although that final sauce definitely had something to say about it. And that’s part of what made FinFires such a great moment for the FPAC community this summer. Financial planners coming together. Talking shop. Having a laugh. And not taking themselves too seriously while they do it. Thanks to Alysha for being such a great sport, and to Adam for cranking up that Hot Seat heat 🌶️

It’s official! Louai Bibi, CFP®, CIM®, R.F.P. is the winner of the 2026 National Financial Planning Awards. Louai presented a case study that was both complex and intimate. “Personal finance is personal,” says Louai, an Ottawa-based financial planner with PWL Capital. “There’s always research and evidence and data that we can lean on, but at the end of the day, people have to feel that everything will be OK.” By speaking to both the head and the heart, and presenting a plan that went the extra mile, Louai’s work stood out to win the 2026 NFPAs 🏆 Please join us in congratulating Louai! For anyone who isn't an FPAC Member - you missed an incredible webinar last week! If you watched it live - there will be CE Credits on their way! @AravindSitham covered the webinar in detail (check the linked thread) but to give you a taste of what @jasonpereira covered: ✅ A recap of integration ✅ A recap of where the new capital gains inclusion rates broke integration ✅ IPP's and where they can fit for incorporated business owners ✅ RCA's and where they fit (a niche tool that's more broadly applicable than you think!) ✅ A brief discussion of term life insurance and the benefits of holding inside a corporation If you missed it but still need those CE Credits for year end - don't forget we have over 30 CE Credits on demand for you! 🤯🌟 If you are a member head over to our notion page to check them out! If you aren't a member...what are you waiting for?!
Replying to @jasonpereira
@jasonpereira dropping the knowledge on Corporate Financial Planning pt 3 for the @fpacanada webinar. As always - a ton to take away. First part: a recap of integration A reminder - that integration meant that in theory if you earned income in the corp and paid it out as a salary OR paid it out as a dividend...you would be indifferent to the net tax result. (When factoring in the corp tax and personal tax) But now....with the new potential cap gains rules....

At FPAC, our community is spread out across the country. But we definitely still manage to get up close. In 2024, FPAC took a big leap in getting to know each other, and bringing our community closer together. With several member-led in-person meet-ups all across the country. Members got to share their experiences, and catch up with like-minded planners. From Toronto and London in the east to Edmonton and Vancouver in the west, the FPAC community got together, face-to-face. Stay tuned, there are always more meet-ups in the works. (Or think about planning a meet-up yourself!) Our Canadian pride even broke through south of the border last year. FPAC represented big time at the @FutureProof_HQ conference last year, in sunny Huntington Beach, CA. We made sure the Canadian Tiki Lounge was the place to be, and you could tell our members had a lot of fun. (Yes, financial planners know how to have fun!) FPACers are used to getting together digitally. FinFires. The Forum. Our sweet Twitter threads. But this coast-to-coast community? It’s real. Join us and see for yourself.

We’re close to announcing the winner of the 2026 National Financial Planning Awards 🏆 As we speak, our judges are finishing their deliberations, reflecting on the final presentations of our remaining two competitors. We’re excited to celebrate the winner. To showcase great work in financial planning. But the NFPAs are about more than one winner. These Awards are about recognizing excellence. Moving the profession forward. Raising the standard. As financial planners, that’s important for all of us. So before the winner is announced, let’s take a moment to cheer on both finalists. Win or lose, they have done something outstanding. 👏👏👏 If you’ve been following along, stay tuned. The announcement is coming soon.

Proud of our colleagues over at @AdvancedPlanner who this week spoke up for something that’s at the heart of what FPAC is all about. Fiduciary responsibility. FPAC members, when they join, take The Fiduciary Pledge. Now IAFP is taking a step in the same direction. No wonder FPAC and IAFP make such a good team — including in co-presenting the NFPAs 🏆 Read the full press release here → newswire.ca/news-releases/ia…
