Music has lost one of its modern soul architects.
Michael Eugene Archer, better known as D’Angelo, the soul revolutionary, has reportedly passed away at 51 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer.
From Brown Sugar to Voodoo to Black Messiah, his music didn’t just move us, it ministered to us. His genius was fluid, gospel rooted, funk-soaked. It reminded the world that the Black soul is both divine and dangerous. And though the mic may fall silent, the echo still remains, humming the divine.
Rest in power.

Happy 43rd Birthday to Roger Federer 🎂🎈
A man who needs no introduction.
When Roger made his Top 100 debut, he was the youngest player to reach the top 100 in 17 years.
In 2005, Roger had his best season win percentage - 95.3%. He won 81 of the 85 matches he played. This is the 3rd best win percentage for a season of all time, after John McEnroe & Jimmy Connors.
Here are some other unforgettable achievements of the birthday boy:
20 Grand Slams.
103 titles.
6 ATP Finals titles.
8 Wimbledon titles, the most ever by a man.
310 weeks at world #1.
1251 career wins.
28 Masters 1000 titles.
11,478 aces.
$130 million in career earnings.
Each day that he chose to play this sport, he made it better in every possible way.
What he’s given us will never be forgotten, no matter how many days go by.
Out of all his many accomplishments, his greatest one is the lives he touched.
He was thoughtful & kind to his peers.
He was warm & genuine in every interview he gave.
During his 23 year long career, he made us fall in love with the way he struck a tennis ball.
But by the end of it, he also made us fall in love with him.
Timeless.
Elegant.
Roger.
