I love that Kenya is suing Meta for #humantrafficking and deception. We may see change if more countries start standing up to these abusive #tech companies in billionaires. This creator does an excellent summary tiktok.com/t/ZPLAdJt4u/

Iâve been released from IDF custody with a âwarning,â apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasnât even a congressmember yet, just a nominee).
But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention. For harvesting olives. They should all be released immediately.
To be clear: Palestinians face far worse consequences every day. These detentions by the IDF are one more attempt to undermine Palestiniansâ right to harvest their olive groves, travel on their roads, and live in their homes. Yet one more element of escalating, and very clearly state-sponsored ethnic cleansing.
Weâll update on their status as soon as we hear.
Omg⌠There werenât enough significant punishments for the 2008 financial crisis. This country learned nothing and itâs gonna happen all again.

Iâve been detained by the IDF, along with a group of rabbis & volunteers. We were simply harvesting olives in a grove near Nehalim in the West Bank.
The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isnât a crime under any law I know.

Lina Khan on AI: "These are individuals that have become used to a certain level of impunity, elite impunity that I think we've talked about in the past as being a broader cultural, social phenomena that results when we're not holding the rich and the powerful to the same rules and the same standards that we do to everybody else.
I think there are a lot of magazine profiles and other assessments looking at what these individuals as a personal matter and their character. I think to me, some of that is a little bit less interesting than this basic question of: Who is deciding in the first instance what trajectory these technologies take?
And whenever you have a tiny number of elites getting to call the shots around this potentially transformational technology, that is gonna be dangerous even if you have the most benevolent, well-meaning people in the driver's seat. It really comes down to the concentration of power."

THIS MORNING IN CA: Acting Deputy Attorney General @PADAGMcCotter announces charges against 28 Foreign Nationals in California for election crimes.
"Today's charges demonstrate why that lawsuit [against CA over its voter rolls] is so important. The lawsuit is about preventing voter fraud that cancels out the votes of U.S. citizens. Enforcing federal law increases the integrity of elections â it increases confidence in elections."
Notice that the Democratic Party had Obama make this statement, which is good but itâs still not good enough. Little fight has come from many Democrats actually IN OFFICE which is extremely sad. With so much on the line and theyâre still afraid of their donors.
Barack Obama condemns federal agentsâ raid on the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar, calling it a âtransparentâ effort by the Trump administration to âintimidateâ her.
Omar tied the raid to Trump, who has frequently targeted her with criticism. The president said the search had "nothing to do" with him. nbcnews.com/politics/politicâŚ

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government canât selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But thatâs exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, itâs important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administrationâs fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone â all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And itâs not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies â from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omarâs life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and sheâs been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omarâs political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, thereâs no reason to believe it will stop with her â or that future presidents, in either party, wonât do the same.
