I once had bedbug infestation at my former apartment. Nothing too much, just one here and there and I was worried it would multiple quickly
I confided in a coworker about it. Oddly enough, everything she told me to do worked well.
The following weekend was my birthday and I told everyone during staff briefing that I'd like to host them for a parlor party.
No one showed up from work.
Not a single person!
Not even the few ones I assumed were friends. Just excuses here and there which I understood
The Monday after my birthday, our boss apologized for not showing up at my party and it was because someone had hinted her about the bedbug issues.
Apparently, the lady I confided in had told everyone that I had bedbugs in my house and it was so much that their homes too might get infested if they attended my party.
The knowledge of people whispering behind me about it hunted me for weeks!
It wasn’t something much but she made a big deal out of it so much that they avoided me at work.
Omo, I learnt a very hard and painful lesson that time.
Went out today and I drank three bottles of water before returning home.

Around March this year, this guy won about 5M from betting.
He told his girlfriend, she rushed to his place immediately and asked him to transfer 4.7M to her account.
He said NO.
She said if he didn't, they'll break up, the guy sent her the money the following day at the bank.
She saved 1M via mutual funds, she did it with her account officer because she already had an account with Stanbic.
She used the remaining money to rent a shop and stocked the shop with foodstuff, she employed 2 staff and one of them was her boyfriend 😂😂
She told her boyfriend to use the remaining 300k from the 5M to buy foodstuff from the shop and stock his kitchen and whatever change he has, he can use it to continue trying the bet.
All the money gone but it didn't vanish, it was invested into business and saved.
The guy mentioned it to his friend one time, the friend mentioned to other friends, they called him a simp.
Fast forward to October, their shop is doing well and they're earning via mutual funds (even though locked) but they're sure his rent will be ready by next year.
Since that March till now, he hasn't won another bet.
Best believe, if his girlfriend didn't step in, he would have squandered that money with his guys and they still won't turn up when he's broke.
I overheard him telling my husband this evening that he's going to marry his girlfriend, their introduction is on Saturday.
I'm happy for him.

My wife and I had sex around 9 p.m. before I told her I was going out to get some food.
At 11 a.m. the following morning, two detectives knocked on our door.
Detective: “Sir, where were you between 10 p.m. and midnight?”
Me: “At home with my wife.”
Detective: “Your wife says you never left the bedroom.”
I looked at her.
Me: “That’s correct.”
The detective placed a photograph on the table.
