Thank you, @UsAmbCanada. We are grateful for the United States’ solidarity and generous offer of assistance during this difficult time. Our thoughts remain with the deceased and injured soldiers, their families, and all those affected by this tragedy.
Our prayers remain with all affected by the tragedy at @CanadianForces Base Wainwright. To support the recovery of soldiers affected by traumatic burns, the U.S. government has made a formal offer of assistance and resources to the Government of Canada, should it be deemed necessary.

I agree with Dan this is a much more productive thing to do - actual, actionable changes - than some amorphous tax review by “experts” who will just recommend hiking sales taxes as a matter of ideology.

If true, these budget rumours would be a big deal for small business. CFIB has been pushing hard for a reduction in the small business corporate rate from 9 to 6%. In addition, for more than a decade, we've been calling for a lower rate of EI premiums for smaller payrolls. We've suggested smaller firms have their EI rate tied 1:1 with the employee rate, rather than the current 1.4 multiplier. Fingers crossed for Nov 5.

Q: At what point is raising human rights issues enough, and does that just give you carte blanche to do business however you want?
Mark Carney: If you're not speaking to people, you have no ability to actually raise these issues.

It is an honour to join Prime Minister @MarkJCarney for the first-ever visit toTürkiye by a Canadian Prime Minister.

Türkiye is NATO ally and a market of over 85 million people. It is also has Europe's second-largest LNG import capacity and is actively diversifying where its energy comes from - which is where Canada comes in.

Whether it is clean or conventional energy or minerals, I am looking forward to strengthening our alliance to create prosperity for both our nations 🇨🇦🇹🇷

The more customers a business has, the more opportunities it has to grow.
That’s why we’re advancing our trade diversification agenda at speed, to make sure more Canadian businesses can reach buyers around the world.
When we formed government, over 75% of our exports went to the U.S. Now, a third of Canada’s exports head to markets beyond the U.S., the highest share in more than 40 years.
That’s our Plan A in action. We’re building a more resilient Canadian economy with more partners, more customers, and more opportunities.
🇨🇦
Voilà notre plan A à l’œuvre.

Ontario’s steel and auto workers are facing real uncertainty from tariffs. Our government has their back.
Today, Prime Minister Carney and Premier Ford announced a new Canada-Ontario action plan with nearly $9 billion in combined investments, including an additional $2.5 billion over two years to help auto manufacturers modernize their plants and production lines.
I’ll keep working to open new markets for Canadian businesses, attract investment, and create good paying jobs here at home. That starts with supporting the industries and workers who are already critical to our economy.

Global Automakers applaud the governments of Canada and Ontario continuing to work together in support of our critical auto industry and its workers. While we continue to face significant tariffs, we're encouraged to see this focus on the things we can control right here at home.
In the face of U.S. tariffs and growing global uncertainty, Canada is focused on what we can control.
Premier @fordnation and I are launching a new action plan — nearly $9 billion to protect jobs, transform our steel and auto industries, and unleash Ontario’s full potential in critical minerals.
