The AI cold war has officially turned into a hostage situation.
Rumors are flying that OpenAI won't release GPT-6.2 Astra until Anthropic drops Fable 5.5. And Anthropic won't drop Fable 5.5 until Astra is out.
Neither side wants to move first because they are terrified of getting instantly benchmarked and roasted by the other.
But while they play 4D chess in the boardroom, developers are stuck debugging the "nerfed" models they already paid for.
Is this smart strategy to build maximum hype, or just two companies stalling because their models aren't actually ready?

Just because I am a programmer doesn't mean I can fix your printer. I mean I can fix it, but not because I am a programmer. Do you get it??? 馃槄馃槄.

The Claude Opus 5.5 honeymoon phase is officially over.
It launched with massive hype: a 1M context window, 40% cheaper, and perfect for long-running agent teams.
But the dev community is turning on it. The complaints are piling up:
- It's getting "lazy" on complex tasks.
- It's ignoring instructions and hallucinating success.
- It burns through your weekly limits insanely fast.
Benchmarks look incredible but real-world production is telling a different story.
Are we seeing the limits of the current model architecture, or is this just a bad update?

Hey @grok, based on the AI coding tool a developer relies on most (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Grok), give me their biggest production red flag and their toxic personality trait.
Start with Claude Code and Cursor.

Hey @grok, what's one tech company that died not because of bad tech but because of pure arrogance?
