On November 7th, 1917, the Bolsheviks seized power Russia, promising “peace, land and bread” to the people. Over the next 74 years the people were starved, killed by death squads, thrown in work camps and gulags, and other things unrelated to “peace, land and bread”.

Today is the National Day for the Victims of Communism. Communism killed more than 100 million people in the 20th century. This memorial, The Memorial to the Victims of Communism in Prague, powerfully captures what communism does to the human person.

The men who wrote the Constitution owned guns, distrusted bankers, and believed taxation without consent was worth dying over. They would not recognize the country operating under their name today. Federal spending crossed $7 trillion per year. The income tax, which the founders explicitly rejected, now reaches into every paycheck you earn before you touch a dollar of it. The Federal Reserve, a central bank of the exact type Jefferson warned would strip citizens of property through inflation, has spent the last two decades aggressively expanding the money supply and handing you the bill through rising prices. The founders drew the federal government's powers in a short, specific list. Congress could coin money, raise an army, and regulate interstate trade. What it could not do is not in that list, because the founders assumed the limits were obvious. They were wrong to assume that. Today the federal government licenses your profession, subsidizes your competitor, dictates your health plan, and surveils your financial transactions above $600. The administrative state, staffed by unelected bureaucrats at the FDA, SEC, EPA, and an estimated 430 other agencies, writes rules carrying the force of law without a single congressional vote. Madison called this precise arrangement tyranny in The Federalist Papers(No. 47). The founders risked hanging to escape a government that taxed tea at 3%. You hand over 30 percent of your income and are supposed to thank the state for the privilege of keeping the rest.

Keynes gave governments the intellectual permission slip they had always wanted: Spend during recessions, stimulate demand, prime the pump, and prosperity follows. It doesn't work. Ludwig von Mises explained exactly why before the ink on the General Theory dried. The core Keynesian error is treating consumption as the engine of wealth. Keynes fixated on aggregate demand, the total spending flowing through an economy, as the variable governments must manage. Boost it artificially, and you rescue the economy. Production precedes consumption. You cannot spend your way to wealth any more than you can eat your way to a full refrigerator. Government stimulus spending doesn't create resources. It redirects them. When Washington borrows a billion dollars and injects it into infrastructure or green energy, it pulls that capital away from whatever private actors would have funded. The seen benefit (the bridge, the solar panel factory) obscures the unseen cost: the businesses never launched, the technologies never developed, because the capital was conscripted first. Keynes also treated interest rates as a policy lever rather than a price signal. Central banks suppress rates below what the market would set, and businesses respond by launching long-term projects that the actual pool of savings cannot support. Mises called this the business cycle. Cheap credit manufactures a boom built on false signals. When the central bank eventually tightens, the malinvestments collapse. The 2008 housing crash followed this script precisely: a decade of Federal Reserve rate suppression funded mortgages the underlying economy could never sustain. The Keynesian model endures politically because it flatters the powerful. Every recession becomes a reason to spend more, hire more bureaucrats, and expand government reach. Mises simply followed the incentives and found the fraud.

🇵🇾 Chaos on the streets as Paraguay’s largest digital bank collapses Nearly 3 million customers affected as the country faces a major political and financial crisis. Paraguay’s Central Bank (BCP) seized Ueno Bank, the country's largest digital lender, after its solvency ratio collapsed to less than half the legal limit. Central Bank President Carlos Carvallo resigned at the request of President Santiago Peña. Carvallo previously chaired the finance company that evolved into Ueno Bank, drawing heavy criticism over regulatory blind spots and conflicts of interest. The Specialized Unit for Economic Crimes and Anti-Corruption ordered the detention of eight high-level executives and figures tied to the bank, including founder and majority shareholder Miguel Vázquez and Ueno Bank President Juan Manuel Gustale. The intervention completely froze Ueno Bank’s digital app, credit cards, and transfer capabilities. This has locked out roughly 3 million users, an estimated 60% of Paraguay's adult population, leaving many with no immediate way to access their money. The state health and pension fund (IPS) has an estimated $380 million in public retirement funds invested in Ueno Bank. Angry citizens, savers, and pensioners flooded the streets of the capital and gathered outside closed branches, demanding their cash and chanting for political accountability.

🚨 PARAGUAY 🇵🇾 RIOTS IN THE STREETS AFTER 3 MILLION PEOPLE GOT LOCKED OUT OF THEIR OWN MONEY The central bank shut down Ueno Bank, one of the biggest banks in the country. 3 million customers. About 60% of all adults in Paraguay. Salaries. Pensions. Savings. FROZEN. No app. No cards. No ATMs. Even $380 million of the state pension fund is stuck inside. Covid locked people inside their homes. This locked them out of their own money. Then it turned POLITICAL. President Santiago Peña, the right-wing friend of Milei and Kast, was a SHAREHOLDER in Ueno's holding company until 2025. And the man he picked to run the central bank in 2023 used to run Ueno. Within 24 hours: • the central bank chief signed his resignation after Peña asked for it • Ueno's CEO handed himself in to police, 5 more executives DETAINED • crowds in central Asunción demanding Peña's exit • the opposition pushing to impeach him The last time Paraguay's banks broke, in 1995, more than half of them went down. If you want the parts of this story Paraguay's government would rather you never heard, follow me.

If you are pro-war on the internet I think you should be sent to go and fight that war in reality. I'm not pro-foreign wars because I think the war is at home. That war is being waged against us all by our liberal-internationalist state. That’s where the fight is - here in our homelands - for the life of the nation.

After this election, even before they’re sworn-in, newly minted politicians will go behind closed doors in the swamp to pick the majority leader, minority leader, whips, etc., and to nominate a Speaker. They’ll vote for candidates who promise campaign cash, good times, good committee assignments, and subcommittee gavels. When it’s all said and done, your Representatives will also pledge their congressional voting cards to the leaders of RED team and BLUE team, who are secretly playing on the same team. That’s how your election will get stolen. I compare these Representatives to Jack who traded the family cow for magic beans… but in this version of the story, the beans never sprout and lobbyists eat the beef.
