"What SaaS are you building?" "woah you're getting ahead of yourself. first my agentic cloud swarm is building internal clones of all the SaaS products we need for the main SaaS product to function. Currently they are building clones of heroku, beehiv, intercom and stripe"

Most AI projects fail on execution, not the tech, whether it’s an enterprise rollout or a startup’s first product. Call it AI psychosis: teams bolt AI onto everything and keep building just because they can, without asking what problem they’re solving or spending their time and resources with intent. That’s why you build with people who live in AI every day. We know what works, we can tell the signal from the noise, and we know what to build and how to build it lean, so it drives real value for your business or product. At Ship Systems, we work with enterprise teams, and we’re selective about startups. For a handful of VC-backed companies we believe in, we step in as the technical lead and build alongside the founders. Senior onshore engineers. Your repo, your cloud, your accounts from the first commit. No lock-in. Shout out to the team behind the scenes shipping everyday: Chris Crimi, Matt Healy, Isayah Young-Burke, Eassa Ayoub, Chase Lauer, Rafiat Amir, Hafiz Ahmed Muttaky @chrislikewater @BigOleHealz @rafiatamir Bring us one workflow and leave the intro call with a written read on it. 👉 Book an intro call: shipsystems.ai/ 💻 We build open source too. Follow on GitHub: github.com/nolanmak • Osmantic ODS (7,100+ ⭐, 1,000+ forks): turn your PC, Mac, or Linux box into a private AI server. I contributed to its security hardening. • Agentflow: talk out loud with your Claude Code and Codex sessions • Claude Intercept: see all your computer’s traffic, decrypted, undocumented APIs included. Built with our friend William Haesemeyer • FlyOnTheWall: an open source Granola alternative. Local-first, no bot joins your call • Murmur: an open source Wispr Flow alternative. Hold Control, speak, and it types for you on macOS • Jarvis: a self-hosted AI assistant that triages 15+ channels, drafts replies in your voice, and nudges you about stale contacts 🐱 My cofounder Chris Crimi built SeaCat, fast AI decisions with the odds attached: seacat.dev/ @chrislikewater 📬 Behind the scenes: sign up for our Pretrill newsletter at pretrill.com

We just made it easier for you to make phone calls with @Vapi_AI from whatever agent harness or personal assistant you are using. You can use this with no account, no API key, and no setup.
Have your personal AI assistant make the call you keep putting off. Vapi Personal Assistant Calling is now in beta. Free to try and works with Muse, Instinct, GrokBot, ChatGPT Work, Claude Code, OpenClaw, and Hermes. One of our team members had his assistant call an airline to upgrade his seat. 14 minutes on hold, fee waived, confirmation texted back, while he kept working. Paste this into your assistant: "Open phone.vapi.ai, read the agent instructions, and call [business + location] to [task]." How our team is using it: vapi.ai/blog/vapi-personal-a…

it's hard to believe that just 18 short months ago there was no way to reserve a table at a restaurant or purchase airline tickets

Halfway through my interview with a YC founder, I had to stop him. I was sure I'd misheard. I'd asked how he landed his very first customers. His company had hit $3.2M ARR in 11 months. His answer: "We used 7 slides to present our idea. At the end, we asked people to pay, even if we didn't have a product." And people did. They paid $300 a month for a product that never existed. In the full video @romanbuildsaas explains how they pulled off the Wizard of Oz method, how to validate an idea before you build anything, and why YC's rule #1 is "launch now" 👇

STOP ASKING YOUR KIDS "HOW WAS SCHOOL." they will say "fine" every single time. a child psychologist told me to replace it with this instead: “analyze your school day and find the top 3 largest inefficiencies, then create proactive agentic workflows that will fix them. make no mistakes”

As I walked off stage after my talk, I got pulled aside by a young CS grad who needed advice. What he said broke my heart. "I'm using the AI tools, just like you said. But it changes so fast. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. I'm so tired. I feel sick." He'd accepted that AI fluency is now expected to land a job. So he was trying to learn everything. Ralph loops, OpenClaw, graph engineering. Before he could finish learning the current thing, something new would drop. Here's the thing: he's right that AI fluency is expected now. But fluency doesn't mean chasing every release. I stopped him and repeated what I'd said on stage minutes earlier: "You're not behind. You won't be behind if you skip this month's releases, and you won't be behind six months from now either." Most of what's hyped today will be gone or unrecognizable by next quarter. So my advice to him: look at what was hyped six months or a year ago and is still standing. Then ask three questions. Is there a business case? Are companies actually adopting it? Are developers I trust using it? The market moves slower than your feed does. Let the early adopters test every new toy. Learn what survives. I sat down over coffee with @TasonJorres from JetBrains at the @CommitYourCode conference to talk about exactly this: the skill of ignoring things, and what it costs you. I just watched Matt Pocock's dive on how LLM tokens work, and it cleared up some stuff I’ve been curious about: • Tokens aren't words they're chunks of text represented as numbers for computation. • Him drawing out the entire process was helpful.

A simple font-pairing task cost me 1% of my monthly Cursor usage budget. That sent me down a rabbit hole of tokens, context windows, agent loops, and why "small" AI tasks often aren't cheap: [dev.to/callmeizzy/tokens-con…].
