Fajuyi died with Ironsi in Ibadan yet they see Yorubas as betrayers. When Awolowo was giving free education to the westerns they came and benefited from it. After the war, Awolowo gave each a 20 pounds. After the war, the Yorubas gave them back their properties, the story of Alex Ekueme is a testimony. Yoruba generals died for Ojukwu during Biafra war yet they never appreciated us for once. Even with everything Awolowo did for Nnamdi Azikwe, he went and joined forces with the Northerners believing they could make the Yorubas a subject however they showed him shege, he ran back to the western region to contest. Why didn't he go back to the East and contest? And that was where "Lagos is no man's land" started. When Awolowo was fighting for the secession clause it was Zik who fought against it so how are the Yorubas responsible for not allowing Biafra to go? We voted for Peter Obi in 2023 yet we are tribalistic, what else can we do for Yibos? Oh! Should we bring Tinubu's head? Eni kure. Until 2031, hope you people will not need the Yorubas? The calabash with which you served us, we will reciprocate after Tinubu's tenure. Dassol. Think Yoruba first.

This photo was taken on June 4, 2012, a day after the Dana plane crãsh in the Toyin area of Iju Ishaga in Lagos. President Goodluck Jonathan walked alongside Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Raji Fashola as he visited the scene of the crãshed Dana Airline. The aircraft reportedly experienced serious engine problems during its journey. According to the final investigation report released by Nigeria's Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) in March 2017: The first engine lost power approximately 17 minutes after take-off from Abuja. The second engine subsequently lost power during the aircraft's final approach to Lagos. The aircraft could no longer maintain the power required for safe flight. It crãshed into buildings in the Iju-Ishaga neighbourhood. The investigation identified engine failure, inadequate use of checklists, poor decision-making and the crew's failure to land at the nearest suitable airfield among the contributing factors. The dïsaster claimed 159 lives: 147 passengers. Six crew members. Six people on the ground. The crãsh also destrøyed buildings and properties in the residential neighbourhood. A devastating fire followed the impact, making rescue and recovery operations extremely difficult. Where were you on that Sunday evening when the plane crãsh happened?

Don Jazzy decided never to marry again or be in any public relationship with any woman after his first marriage failed in 2005. A lot of people might not know this, but Don Jazzy got married to a UK-based writer called Michelle Ajereh in 2003 at the age of 20 when he was in the UK. The relationship lasted for just 2 years, and Don Jazzy decided to end the marriage in 2005 because she was too controlling and he wanted to return to Nigeria and focus on his music. Since then, Don Jazzy decided he will not get married or be in any public relationship with anyone because he felt relationships and marriage required a lot of skills he didn’t have. 20 years later, Jazzy is a billionaire and has not changed his decision. Don Jazzy is currently 43 years old with children yet!

WHO IS THE HEAD OF THE YORUBA RACE? OONI OR ALAAFIN? LET US SETTLE IT. This is the oldest debate in Yorubaland, and both sides are right — but they are right about different kinds of power. Ooni sits in Ile-Ife, Osun State — Arole Oduduwa. Alaafin sits in Oyo, Oyo State — Iku Baba Yeye. One is the SOURCE. One is the EMPIRE. WHY PEOPLE SAY ALAAFIN IS THE HEAD: Because of IMPERIAL HISTORY. From the 14th to the 18th century, Oyo was the biggest, strongest, most organised empire in Yorubaland. Army. Cavalry. Bashorun. Oyo Mesi. Trade routes. Guns. Horses. When Oyo sneezed, all Yorubaland caught cold. Oyo conquered and influenced others. Many Obas in Ilesa, Ondo, Ekiti, Ijebu, Egbado, even Dahomey, either paid tribute to Oyo or got their beaded crown through Oyo's approval. So in people's minds: Alaafin = the one who makes kings. Oyo also controlled the ECONOMY. Kola. Horses. Trade. Later, guns. Whoever controls trade controls power. And when the British came, they found Oyo's government easy to use. They made Alaafin a powerful Native Authority. That colonial boost made many believe Alaafin is supreme. In short: People think Alaafin is head because OYO WAS THE GOVERNMENT. That is true. But that is only HALF the truth. WHY PEOPLE SAY OONI IS THE HEAD: Because of ORIGIN HISTORY. Every Yoruba creation story starts in Ile-Ife. Oduduwa in Ile-Ife. Creation in Ile-Ife. Oranmiyan was born in Ile-Ife, then LEFT Ile-Ife to found Oyo. The son cannot be greater than the father. Ooni is Arole Oduduwa — the direct inheritor of Oduduwa's throne. Even Alaafin traces his lineage to Oranmiyan, son of Oduduwa from Ile-Ife. You cannot be greater than your source. In the old system: IFE CROWNS, OYO RULES. The Ooni blesses the Ida Oranmiyan — the Sword of Oranmiyan. The Alaafin receives spiritual authority from Ife on coronation. That is why even when Oyo was militarily stronger, Oyo NEVER attacked Ife. You don't fight your source. It is taboo. And spirituality lives in Ife. Ifa was revealed in Ife. Orunmila lived in Ife. Obatala, Ogun, Osun, Sango — root shrines in Ife. The Ooni is custodian for ALL Yoruba worldwide — Nigeria, Brazil, Cuba, USA, Trinidad. Alaafin may command an army, but Ooni commands the ancestors. In short: People think Ooni is head because ILE-IFE IS THE ORIGIN. That is also true. That is the OTHER HALF of the truth. SO WHAT IS THE CORRECT CONCLUSION? OONI OF IFE = SPIRITUAL HEAD OF THE YORUBA RACE. Head of origin, tradition, Ifa, Orisa, and spiritual unity. ALAAFIN OF OYO = ADMINISTRATIVE / POLITICAL HEAD OF THE YORUBA RACE. Head of empire, governance, diplomacy, and political organisation. One is the FATHER. One is the ELDER SON WHO BECAME A KING. A father does not compete with his son. A son does not disrespect his father. If Ooni tries to be Alaafin, he loses his spiritual power. If Alaafin tries to be Ooni, he loses his historical legitimacy. What Yoruba needs now is NOT a fight for who is number 1. Yoruba needs: Ooni to unite us spiritually. Alaafin to organise us politically. Both to respect themselves and work TOGETHER IN HARMONY for the progress of the Yoruba race. Ife is the ROOT. Oyo is the BRANCH. A tree needs both to stand. When the spiritual head and the administrative head work together, NO ONE can bring down Yoruba civilization. I am not Yoruba by accident. I am Yoruba by the grace of Olodumare. Let us stop dividing our fathers. Let us honour both thrones. #OoniOfIfe #AlaafinOfOyo #YorubaCivilization #IleIfe #Oyo #Oduduwa #Oranmiyan

My men are tired and they need rest. We need to empower the Police to do their job — Defence Minister, Gen. Christopher Musa Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa, has revealed that Nigerian military personnel are exhausted from prolonged deployments, with some spending years away from their families while battling insecurity across the country. Speaking on the security situation, Musa said, “My men are tired, I can tell you for free,” explaining that soldiers could spend up to two years in one location before being redeployed elsewhere. “You will spend two years in one place. As you are moving, you are moving to the Northwest, you’re moving to somewhere. Sometimes you do a number of times you don’t even see your family,” he stated. He stressed that military personnel were not enjoying the prolonged deployments but remained committed because of the necessity of their duties. Musa disclosed that the military was working with the police to strengthen their capacity through improved recruitment and other measures, expressing hope that soldiers would eventually withdraw from internal security operations. “We feel if they get these things right, there’s no need for the military,” he said, adding that the military would gradually return to the barracks to rest. “We hardly go on holidays,” he lamented.

DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE CLASH AT A POLITICAL RALLY ORGANIZED BY OBEDIENT/OK MOVEMENT IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF NDC IN ASABA: POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION, ADVISE POLITICAL PARTIES/SUPPORTERS AGAINST ROAD PROCESSIONS The Delta State Police Command has commenced a full-scale investigation into a violent incident involving supporters during a political rally organised by the Obedient/OK movement in support of the presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asaba on Saturday, 7th November 2026, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to five others. 2. Prior to the rally, the Command received an intelligence report indicating the likelihood of violence and consequently invited the organisers to a security meeting. During the engagement, they were briefed on the identified security threats and advised against holding an open road procession. They were further encouraged to conduct their political activities at a designated venue where appropriate security will be provided for them. However, the organisers ignored this important security advice and proceeded with the road procession. 3. At about 1215hrs, a violent incident occurred along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, during which one person lost his life and five others sustained injuries. The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained. Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives mobilised to the scene and took the injured victims to the hospital for medical attention. Security was subsequently reinforced in the affected area to forestall further breakdown of law and order, while investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible. 4. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, psc, mnips, condemns the violence and reiterates that political parties are free to conduct lawful campaigns and other political activities. He, however, advises all political parties and their supporters to avoid road processions in the interest of public safety and to liaise with the Police ahead of any political gatherings to facilitate adequate security arrangements. The CP assures residents of Delta State of the Command's commitment to a thorough and impartial investigation and urge anyone with useful information to contact the Command through the following phone numbers; 09155570008 or 09155570007.
