10% body fat require precision. 10% body fat requires aggression. 10% body fat requires a standard of excellence 99.9% will never have. The process will grow you. Commit and get it figured out. Worth while.

When you decide to start losing weight again remember to see yourself as Jesus sees you. You're not a disappointment who was too dumb to keep the fat off - who now needs to lose it "or else". You're his son. Made in his image. Given the power of self of control. Imagine how you'd react if your son said "Dad, I'm going to give this a go one more time. I know i've failed in the past but you always told me I'm never too far gone. You said I'm strong, smart, and capable of more than I'll ever know." You'd be extatic for him. You'd be jumping for joy. Building belief in him. Encouraging him. And treating him as if it's already finished - because you know who he is, you know he's capable, and you know how God can work in him. This is how Jesus see's you. Not as the disappointing failure who has to do this again "or else". But as the capable son who's victory is assumed. Remember that when you decide to lose the weight once and for all.

It’s like porn for your taste buds. Come get it. Whatever you want. Feel good, just for a moment. “No - God doesn’t care. No - it doesn’t affect your family. No - it won’t get out of control.” Yes, just like with sex, you can enjoy great food to the glory of God. You can enjoy great sex to the glory of God. But all within its proper context. Great sex is to be enjoyed the context of marriage. Great food is to be enjoyed in the context of responsible physical stewardship. 99.9% of people don’t even remotely consider this 99.9% of the time. Are you going to food for comfort? Is what you’re about to eat glorifying to God? Would you even be able to TELL if it was gluttony? Is it REALLY responsible enjoyment based on how it impacts the body that God gave you to carry out your mission? Don’t get me wrong. I eat cookies and doughnuts almost every day. But all in their proper context. Your brains desire for this food is a SIGNAL. Why are you seeking comfort? What do you believe? About who you are.. About who God is… About what he called you to do…. Have you given this FORETHOUGHT…? Or is it reckless indulgence (gluttony)… Is. It. Sin. Like real, deep, dark, sin. Consider this..

Your wife needs to be aligned with your mission - and this applies to your health. W/ out this you’re completely screwed. So many 60 somethings I’ve coached over the years going through absolute war because their wives aren’t in agreement w/ culture of food in the home. Something that affects every day of life, multiple times a day, for rest of life. You should PROB get on same page with this. Fat around your gut prob result of a bit of chaos in how you’ve led this area. No shame. Just dumb if you leave unaddressed. Only affects everything..

I don’t feel good after jiujitsu and that’s kind of the point. All men need something where they can get consistently beat up and humbled. Keep you in check while calling you higher.

Neighbor built out this gym with one goal: Create space for fellowship with other high level Christian business owners. And it worked. Instant new crew couple times a week talking biz, investing, family, fitness, faith, etc etc. All in similar space so we can go granular, all with different expertise in specific areas, all with different battle scars to learn from. Fun and blessed. Do not neglect the gathering of believers doesn’t only apply to church. The Christian life was not meant to be walked alone. And it doesn’t always have to be Bible study. So much sharpening happens in pursuit of the things God has called you to do. Biz, fam, wealth, health, etc.

Heavy focus on: - Calorie to protein ratio food choices being 10:1 or better - Applying Biblical Scripture to how he thinks and operates in his physical stewardship - Creating agreement in the home with the culture of honoring God with his body - along side his wife Fun journey so far - still going strong.

Natural impatience can be your greatest gift or most intense liability depending on whether or not it’s submitted to God. Be naturally impatient in your desire to get ripped while building biz, leading fam, following God. Be extremely patient in the time it takes to results. This attitude leads to faster results anyways - but longer term too.

Everything you do must deepen your relationship with Christ. Including your pursuit of fitness. If not it will be meaningless in the end.

I confronted a client of mine about whether or not he sees himself as a physically intense individual. Here’s what we learned from Joshua 14:10-12:

Wife’s 30th. Can’t believe I’m so blessed. Guys said these were the best steaks they’ve had all year even compared to higher ended stuff in Franklin. Best compliment. God gave you taste buds for a reason. You can and should enjoy great food to the glory of God w/ in your cal and protein goals. This is basic stewardship. Enjoy responsibly.

You’re called to be profitable with everything Gods given you. Including your body. Don’t let anyone tell you fat or average is “not that bad”

If you know you don't have a healthy way to deal with stress, and it's showing up in your habits, on your body. The answer is not "pushing it down" any longer. You need an outlet, in the holy spirit - and through physical discipline.
