WATCH: This piece, produced by Maine Public News and Digital, is worth the viewing. I’m proud of the work of my team and all involved in this production. Trails are being upgraded to be more accessible. I love hiking and I relish new trails; these folks are doing the work! #maine

Peter Falk’s performance in the film Wings of Desire (or Der Hinmel Über Berlin, dir. Wim Wenders in 1987/88) is pivotal. He’s playing himself. My favorite film of all time.
For Peter Falk’s birthday, just one more thing.

David Bowie was a genius artist and a deep thinker. In 1999, only 6 years after the birth of the worldwide web, Bowie spoke about the "unimaginable" effects of the Internet on society.

This is indeed seismic for the gaming industry.
BREAKING: The WSJ reports that Microsoft is buying Activision Blizzard, the troubled publisher behind Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, which has been facing crisis over the last year following numerous reports of sexual misconduct and discrimination. A seismic gaming deal

It worked. I can read quite well, and still love psychedelic imagery! Seriously, this show, Sesame Street and mid 20th century Warner Bros. Cartoons shaped my young mind in the early 70s.
When The Electric Company debuted in 1971, television hadn't seen anything quite like it. Psychedelic graphics, wildly creative animation, mod outfits, over-the-top characters and sketch comedy all functioned to serve the same goal: teaching kids to read. n.pr/3BfwGer

Great collaboration between @BocoVideoPro and Jennifer Rooks on the @NewsHour on the late Robert Indiana; his final years, and, his legacy. We have some fantastic stories to tell up here in #Maine.
While Robert Indiana's art endures, a new book also paints a portrait of him as a troubled, isolated artist. to.pbs.org/3aeTeRK

I genuinely do not understand framing the fate of legislation that will affect millions of people as the subplot of a story about an individual senator’s self-actualization.
Kyrsten Sinema’s allies have some free advice for anyone trying to bully the wine-drinking triathlete into supporting Biden's $3.5 trillion budget bill: She doesn’t play by Washington’s rules — and she's prepared to walk away. trib.al/ohKLQMD

One of the biggest gaps in combatting ransomware is we still don't know the denominator. Unfortunately, only the bad guys knows. Perhaps a bit cliché, but as the saying goes "if you can't measure it, you can't manage/improve it."
Interesting (not surprising, interesting): Despite strict reporting requirements many healthcare providers still aren't reporting ransomware attacks. Healthcare is a sector we have good possibility into, yet we still are not hearing about most attacks. oag.ca.gov/news/press-releas…
