ITV News has been sent footage of a rodent inside the Royal Glamorgan Hospital near Pontyclun. The video was taken over the weekend. A spokesperson for Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, who manage the hospital, said it had been made aware of a reported rodent sighting in a public corridor and carried out “immediate inspections” but found “no evidence of rodent activity”. They went on to say: “As a precaution, additional monitoring stations have been installed in external areas and further inspections will be carried out by our pest control contractor. We have also reinforced the importance of keeping doors and windows closed where appropriate. “We would like to reassure patients and the public that there is currently no evidence of an ongoing issue within the hospital. We have robust pest management measures in place and will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
