Everyone deserves a fair shot at rebuilding their life. That’s why I have worked to help returning citizens get the driver’s license and restored 400,000 Michiganders’ licenses so they could get on their feet, find a job, support their families, and be a full participant in civic and economic life. Yesterday, I was grateful to join local Native communities in celebrating their heritage and honoring those whose stories and traditions continue to shape our communities today.
