Age is a strange one for me🤷♂️
I don’t really think about it day to day, unless reminded but, as I get older (even😁), it’s about my family, circle of friends, work colleagues in terms of wider groups of people all around my age.
Stag doos/boys weekends slow down (so I’m told😝)
Wedding invites dry up
Your kids have grown up (nearly)
Lifestyle changes etc….
And then…..
You start getting messages/phone calls you’ve never really thought about before, and from nowhere, mortality comes to life😩🙏
I’ve just had news that one of my best pals, whom I met when I employed him years ago, collapsed on 20th Dec. leading to complex open-heart surgery, induced coma and now cardio thoracic ward/intensive care in a different country.
Knocked me back this has, for a whole host of reasons🙏
He’s a proper fighter so you think positive but all of a sudden the spring in your step just slows a touch❤️
Back to Sydney 🇦🇺 for a few nights before flying home 🏴after our trip down to Melbourne & Phillip Island for the #MotoGP
