My favorite way to relax at night/unwind is to pick up my electric guitar, unplugged, and just play a bit. No screens, quiet, present.

I'm curious if I can measure the impact of my proper morning meditation (vs the days I don't). The days I do (15mins+, start of the day) I just feel more spacious. Like thinking is easier and reacting is slower.

Reacting is slower sounds like very bad English. I am def not an llm 😅

It would be amazing to have the traditional 5 HR Zones Analysis on @googlehealth , plus the ability to choose which formula to use (Karvonen, etc). The fact that the default is a weird 4Zone formula is a clear downside of the app at the moment 😉

Can your wearable predict when you’ll die? Months before a 76-year-old man suffered sudden cardiac death after a Peloton workout, two independent wearables began recording a wild change in his physiology. Over a 4–6 month window: - Daytime and overnight HRV fell ~50–65% - Resting and overnight HR rose by 3–5 bpm - Deep sleep fell >50%, from 39 to 18 min Several metrics remained abnormal until the day he died. The authors call it a “coordinated step-change,” and it’s evidence as to why departures from your own long-term baseline may be far more informative than any single daily readiness score.

I have been wearing the Fitbit Air for a month now. My main takeaways: - wearing it with a comfortable bicep band is a game changer, you completely forget you are wearing it (plus it doesn't show) - sleep tracking is ok - def not representative of all the baby awakenings 🧵

Would I buy it now? Yes, the main upgrade is definitely the comfort. Look at this beautiful watch I now get to wear.

But I am curious on the new Health App @Apple is launching

I spent a lot of time deciding between the @AmazfitGlobal HelioStrap and the @googlehealth Fitbit Air. In the end, what prevailed was the consensus that the sleep stage tracking is better on the Fitbit Air (plus being a bit smaller)

People often say consistency is key. However it's been very hard to be consistent on my exercise routine. The 6:45AM CrossFit is the easiest to maintain, but sleep/rest has been so volatile due to my 10mo's sleep that I find it more important to prioritize recovery
