1/ Vinfast is about to de monopolize Tesla’s EV taxi game before it even took off cleantechnica.com/2026/10/20… vinfastauto.us/investor-rela… @khalidkarim @Ardaffaf
VinFast's driverless robotaxi is planned to hit the road in 2027 Mr. Duong-Van Nguyen, currently Deputy General Director of VinFast Global in charge of developing ADAS and Autonomous Driving systems recently shared that VinFast is taking a relatively different direction in developing artificial intelligence. His presentation at World Mobility Conference 2025 (FISITA WMC 2025) in Barcelona, Spain talked about AI in large-scale production, integrated sensor processing (sensor fusion), end-to-end AI systems (end-to-end AI), and the direction of smart electric vehicles in the future. Most notably, he also revealed plans to deploy self-driving taxi services (also known as robotaxi) in smart cities from 2027. Recently, Tesla has officially launched driverless robotaxi service on a small scale in the US. Users can book a car through the application and be taken to a pre-booked location in a fully autonomous vehicle. However, because it is still in the testing phase, each Tesla robotaxi still has a supervisor sitting in the passenger seat but does not interfere with the driving of the system. VinFast is developing an end-to-end AI that proccesses all censor, camera, lidar and vechile control data through a single model. This is almost not seen in any other car company. This type of AI system is more comprehensive, able to fully process input data from sensors to making decisions and executing decisions (which is driving the car). Currently, many AI systems serving cars are developing according to a modular model, meaning that each task such as object recognition, route planning or control is handled by a separate AI system. Meanwhile, the end-to-end AI system is just one system but will take on the entire job. The end-to-end AI system needs a huge amount of data to develop, far beyond what a modular AI system needs. Not just stopping at data in simulation situations, the end-to-end system needs real data from actual operations. Mr. Duong-Van Nguyen admitted that simulation scenarios bring little value to end-to-end AI systems: "Simulated data does not accurately reflect real situations, so it is impossible to ensure that the solution for the simulation situation will be suitable for real situations. Therefore, to evaluate the effectiveness, a large amount of real data will be needed." Real data is also a headache for many car manufacturers. Mr. Duong-Van Nguyen gave the example of Tesla - a company that has a data center shared for cars, robots, and even energy management systems - or Chinese OEMs - where there is the ability to collect large-scale data, the cost can be spread out and it can also help find investors more easily. But for a company that only produces cars, that model is unsustainable: "[...] a company that only relies on car manufacturing and wants to deploy an end-to-end AI system, the development and maintenance costs will be too high to be profitable". However, VinFast has a special advantage: "We can do it, because VinFast is not simply a car manufacturer. Our ecosystem has real estate, hotels, hospitals, universities, taxi companies, robotics… – all of which can share the cost of building and operating an AI center." However, developing this system is not without challenges. One of the important issues is that the end-to-end AI system is not easily transferred between car models. "The AI model will learn both the operating characteristics of each vehicle and driving behavior, making it difficult to apply the model from one vehicle to another, possibly requiring up to 50% retraining. This is a major obstacle if we want to mass produce at optimal cost.” Although frank about the limitations, he still showed excitement about the speed of progress: "I never thought that one day the car factory could operate almost completely by itself."

I have said Lee Kwan Yew is the most prolific anti Chinese, anti Global South traitor for a reason. You still see so much propagandized bullshit about Singapore because Lee is still praised to this day for running the Israel of South East Asia.
Xi Jingping met Lee Kuan Yew in 2010, and told him China would surpass the US. Lee replied: “China can draw on a talent pool of 1.3 billion people, but the United States can draw on a talent pool of 7 billion and recombine them in a diverse culture that enhances creativity in a way that ethnic Han nationalism cannot."

🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 Vietnamese self driving car: Vinfast x Phenikaa in controlled environment
🇻🇳🇻🇳VinFast and Phenikaa-X join hands to develop self-driving technology This is a car that is testing self-driving technologies developed by Phenikaa-X, a Vietnamese startup. Sharing about the unique car, Mr. Pham Hoang Son, in charge of the project at Phenikaa-X, said: “This VinFast VF 8 is equipped with 15 surveillance cameras, 12 LiDAR sensors and radar. Thanks to that, the electronic system can identify all images and obstacles in 360 degrees around the car within a radius of up to 250 m with an accuracy of centimeters”. In the commercial version, the VF 8 has level 2 self-driving capability. According to Mr. Son, this red VF 8 is the next part of the self-driving car project that he and his colleagues developed. The special feature of this project is that for the first time, Vietnamese engineers have developed and mastered level 4 autonomous driving technology. At this level, the car can drive completely on its own in many situations, the driver does not need to intervene with the steering wheel, accelerator, brake pedal, or control the lights. Mr. Son said that the engineers provided the car with a digital map with full information and regulations on current traffic laws. From there, under the careful and continuous supervision of the engineers, the car was tested in real traffic conditions. With the received data along with data collected on real traffic conditions, the car can control its speed, stop, turn on the lights, steer... while still ensuring safety and complying with the Law on Order and Road Traffic Safety. Phenikaa-X representative also shared that his team had previously tested the technology on a Korean brand car, but switched to VinFast VF 8 since the end of 2024. The reason is because the team received special support from VinFast to have a much better research platform. Specifically, the Vietnamese car company provided Phenikaa-X with a new VF 8, and supported the integration of Phenikaa-X's autonomous system into the car, ensuring compatibility, creating a foundation for engineers to continue developing technology on real cars. "This is a very practical support and plays an important role in the project. Thanks to VinFast, we have complete information about the software, structure, and technical details of the car. From there, the development team can control the entire electronic, control and operation system, making research more convenient and closer to reality," Mr. Son shared. Currently, thanks to the support of Vingroup, the tests are being carried out in real traffic conditions in Ocean City. Talking about the car on display at the exhibition, Mr. Son said that in fact, if only for self-driving, the car only needs 5 LiDAR sensors and 7 surveillance cameras. However, the car is installed with more than that to be able to collect more data on the road. This is a stepping stone for the project to move to the next stage, developing self-driving cars based on artificial intelligence AI in the future. According to Mr. Le Anh Son, the global self-driving car market is forecast to grow from 1,500 billion USD in 2022 to 13,600 billion USD in 2030, which is one of the strategic technology fields that powers such as the US, Japan, and China are focusing on. This is a great opportunity but also requires huge investment resources in terms of time, facilities, human resources and finance. Therefore, he considers the cooperation between large manufacturers like VinFast and innovative technology enterprises like Phenikaa-X to be of particular importance. “We believe that, with its leading role and vehicle ecosystem, VinFast is not only an industrial partner but also a launching pad for ‘made in Vietnam’ technologies - including the self-driving technology Phenikaa-X is developing - to reach out to the world,” Mr. Son affirmed.

After years of Western media pumping up “Vietnam will get old before it gets rich” propaganda, every single Western ally in the region (Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines) have their TFR dipped below that of Vietnam. Indonesia will as well around 2028
The new birth statistics update this month is out with the first TFR predictions for 2026. It came a bit later this time because I wanted to wait for the February data of the US, but they haven't published them yet.

China successfully learns high-speed rail technology from Japan, Germany, France, Canada According to the International Railway Journal, more than 20 years ago, China began planning to build a high-speed rail system. In 2003, the Ministry of Railways of China (MoR) expressed its determination to develop high-speed rail (HSR) and received central support. China then issued a policy to develop HSR in the direction of: "Applying advanced technology, designing and manufacturing with domestic enterprises, building independent brands". In contracts signed with foreign partners, China requires a commitment to transfer technology. Components such as train cars, rails, braking systems, controls, etc. must be adjusted to Chinese standards, and all production and assembly are carried out through domestic joint ventures. In June 2004, China held a tender for its first HSR line (design speed over 200 km/h). At that time, only four companies were qualified to participate: Siemens (Germany), Kawasaki (Japan), Bombardier (Canada) and Alstom (France). Realizing the great potential of the market, the four "giants" immediately competed fiercely. Instead of choosing a single partner, China integrated technology from all four countries to avoid dependence on the outside. At the same time, the country forced contractors to cooperate deeply with domestic enterprises to gradually master the technology and build domestic capacity. The Chinese Ministry of Railways then acquired HSR technology from Canada, France, Germany and Japan, aiming for 75% localization. At the same time, China trained a team of domestic engineers and experts to receive and master the technology after transfer. These technologies were integrated and tested on a number of lines, typically Beijing - Tianjin. In the early stages, China cleverly combined the advantages of each foreign technology for different categories, while mobilizing domestic universities and research institutes to participate in development. By 2011, China had initially researched and developed its own HSR technology, based on the foundation of international absorption. Since then, the country has not only completely mastered the technology but also risen to become the world leader in high-speed rail.

Dude managed to turn Western NGO trafficking Cambodian children into the fault of Cambodia itself. And him casually "advising (Western) NGO that rescue girls trafficked" is the biggest irony Truly only an Amerikkkan from the Epstein society could be so shameless.
Very similar to Cambodia. I was in Cambodia recently, advising an NGO that rescues girls from traffickers. I walked those streets in Phnom Penh. Bars with little children standing outside, forced to sell themselves. You lose faith in humanity after seeing children held as sex slaves. And old, washed-up men lusting after them. I learned the history of how this started. In the early 1990s, Cambodia was emerging from two decades of hell. The Khmer Rouge had killed nearly two million people. Civil war followed. The UN sent some 20,000 peacekeepers under UNTAC in 1991 to oversee the transition to democracy. They brought money, power, and demand. Before UNTAC arrived, Cambodia had about 6,000 sex workers. By 1993, when the mission ended, that number had exploded to over 25,000. The UN’s own reports documented peacekeepers buying sex from women and children. When the head of UNTAC, Yasushi Akashi, was confronted about it, his response became infamous: “Boys will be boys.” The full quote is worse. “Eighteen-year-old hot-blooded soldiers who come in from the field after working hard should be able to chase after young, beautiful beings of the opposite sex.” The leadership did not shut it down. They told peacekeepers not to wear uniforms when visiting brothels and not to park UN vehicles directly outside. When an HIV epidemic broke out and increased demand for younger girls on the assumption that they were disease-free, the UN’s response was to ship 800,000 condoms to Cambodia. When UNTAC left, the infrastructure of exploitation remained. Brothel owners discovered they could make more money catering to foreign tourists and local pedophiles wanting sex with children. Cambodia became known on international pedophile networks as “the new frontier.” By the early 2000s, officials estimated the average age of sex workers in Phnom Penh was 15. Akashi was never removed. He was promoted. He went on to serve as UN Special Representative in Bosnia. He received Sri Lanka’s highest national honor for foreign nationals. Thirty years later, the boys are gone. Now it is all old men. The children are still there.

Vietnam’s TFR first went below 2.1 replacement level in 1999, reached the current 1.9 in 2005, then went back to 2.1 in 2014 & have hovered around 1.9 since 2018. Every major ASEAN country has their TFR dipped below that of Vietnam ex Indonesia (which is getting there too) 🤣
Vietnam seems to have fallen into the Middle-income trap. TFR is 1.91 and in Ho Chi Minh City it is 1.39. Fertility itself, if you compare with HK, Singapore, Tokyo etc. but still far below replacement level. Home prices in Hanoi and HCMC are inflating rapidly, making family formation very difficult, even more difficult than in Tokyo or HK. The idea of rich developed countries poaching the youth of developing countries isn't only bad for their own economies it is even worse for the economies of their home countries. Vietnam needs their clever and hardworking youth in Vietnam. Not picking radishes in Japan or Taiwan, or even taking care of German or Polish elderly.
