Thank you MPP Wong-Tam! Great to have you with us this weekend. We look forward to many years of peace and humanity education at APPM!
This weekend I joined the opening of Toronto's new Asia Pacific Peace Museum — a world-class space where people can learn about and remember the victims of war and atrocity in Asia during World War II. I wish this museum all the best in continuing to educate our new generation about peace and reconciliation. Thank you Dr. Joseph Wong and Flora Chong for your leadership in making this museum a reality. Learn more at @ToAlphaEd or asiapacificpeacemuseum.com/ #Toronto #AsiaPacificPeaceMuseum #WW2 #WWII

Xia Shuqin was 8 when her family was killed by Japanese forces #otd in 1937 in the Nanking Massacre that killed 300,000. Her experiences remind us of the humanity of war victims, that peace is a human right, and the importance of sustainable peacebuilding.
