The music industry need a yelp, meets carfax, google review for artist, managers, execs. Too many specialists out here with zero experience and no proof of concept. Then there’s artist out here selling sob stories and they have a lemon history, and salvage titles.

Funny I listened to @edwardeachday podcast with @kasslazerow and @lazerow and they mentioned the power in sticking with something and someone for 10 years and the success you will see from doing that 1 thing, not bouncing around from team to team, etc.

The internet gave every industry data they never had access to before. • Artists can see which songs are streamed most. • Video creators can see when viewers drop off. • Marketers can test which headlines convert. Equipped with new data, each industry evolves. But artists also over-optimize. Shorter songs. Ridiculous thumbnails. Clickbait headlines. It's a slippery slope that too many fall down – when they're no longer creating the things they want to see in the world, and instead for what they *think* an algorithm will prioritize.
