An agency owner in California explained the FAIR Plan to us on an intro call this week: "that's where you bring a client when nobody else will insure them." His agency has a lot of clients there. "Long story short, we're trying to move a lot of business from FAIR plan."

Two states, two programs, the same work: re-entering existing policies into new carriers, one client at a time, against a renewal date.

It's re-keying at its worst, because the data already exists. It's on the dec page. The job is getting it into the next carrier without typing it again, and keeping the judgment about where the client belongs with the agent.

Gaya is like your password autofill tool, but for your clients' data. It doesn't replace your comparative rater. It works alongside it, and picks up where the rater stops. Thanks @Jason Cass for having me on Agency Intelligence. #insurance #independentagent #insurtech #GayaAI

An agency owner said it on an intro call this week, and his account manager answered with one word: "Facts." Everyone laughed because everyone does it.

That carrier's page still took one vehicle at a time. What she noticed was the part that disappeared: "the fact that I don't have to go back to EPIC to copy it, then go back and forth."

That's the real cost of the VIN. Not the 17 characters. The back and forth around them, times every vehicle, times every carrier. Get the schedule onto the clipboard once. Then the only thing left at each carrier is the paste and the review.

Property data has always meant two tabs. Zillow or the county site in one, the carrier in the other, and someone retyping the details in between. This week we showed several agencies the Zillow button. On a listing, click Send to Gaya, and the property details go into Gaya.

An agency leader said it to his own team the same week: "the data is only as good as the data." So here's how agencies are using it. Pull the listing in so nobody retypes it. Read it against what the client tells you.

Fix what's stale once, on the clipboard. Then Super Paste into each carrier. Less typing. Same judgment.

Carriers are nervous about agentic quoting, and they have a point. It reminds them of the RPA days: scripts running on someone's machine that no one can track. And it removes intentionality.

As an agent, you need to protect your time and be intentional about where your business goes. Sending every quote everywhere doesn't do that. The good news: some carriers have started approaching us to build agentic tools with them, instead of around them.

Like helping an agency move a book from one carrier to another, faster. That's the version of AI quoting I believe in. Thanks @Jason Cass for the great conversation on Agency Intelligence. #insurance #AI #insurtech #GayaAI #AgenticQuoting

A new agency owner told us last week that the monotony of entering quotes "made no sense" to him. But veterans stop noticing. Here are 4 questions to ask the newest person on your team before they get used to it:

3. Which client took the longest, and why? One owner on our calls this week pointed to a 28-policy account at renewal. The answer is rarely the coverage. It's the data entry.

4. What were you told is "just how we do it"? That phrase marks the habits nobody has questioned in years. Write the answers down. Then pick one and remove it this month. #GayaAI #InsurTech #Insurance #SuperCopy #SuperPaste
