Earlier today, I joined the Hon. Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, in a strategic meeting with the World Bank Regional Director for Infrastructure, Mr. Franz R. Drees-Gross, to discuss comprehensive strategies aimed at improving Ghana’s road network. Our conversation focused on critical areas including the reintroduction of road tolls, technical support for road contract management, de-capping of the Road Fund, budgetary backing for the Kumasi Urban Mobility and Accessibility Project (KUMAP), and support for government’s key priority projects. Hon. Agbodza reiterated the Ministry’s strong emphasis on road maintenance this year, while also reaffirming our commitment to the construction of 12 key road projects under the “BIG PUSH” Initiative — a flagship vision of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to transform road infrastructure and enhance national connectivity. Together, we are committed to building a safer, more connected, and economically vibrant Ghana through strategic partnerships and targeted investments in infrastructure. #BIGPUSH #GhanaRoads #RoadInfrastructure #WorldBank #RoadConnectivity #Mahama2024 #KUMAP #MinistryOfRoads #ServiceToThePeople #ResettingTheRoadsSectorForNationalDevelopment
