yesterday was not only a rebuke of Republicans, it was also a rebuke of Trump-era establishment Dems.
no candidate invited Biden, the last Dem president, to a campaign event. no candidate sought his endorsement. no candidate sought the endorsement of any Biden admin officials.
Kamala Harris 2024 was Biden, & that was her own doing. “Nothing will fundamentally change” were her words as people starved, went bankrupt, & watched innocent people get blown to pieces by Biden/Harris bombs.
why after a night like yesterday are we looking to the past for the future? we saw stunning performances from grassroots newcomers & low-profile electeds. the pool of 2028 options is vast.
you have to let Harris go. thank her for her service as VP, & look forward.
Quite frankly I think it’s idiotic to suggest that Kamala Harris shouldn’t run again just because she lost to Donald Trump in 2024. And I have yet to hear a good response to why she shouldn’t run.
That election was not a referendum on her ability to lead but a reflection of the ignorance and disinformation that flooded the electorate. When we talk about that election we cannot leave out the facts.
Over 75m ppl voted for Kamala Harris and she did that in 107 days. Kamala Harris is the second most voted for democratic nominee in US history. We did not go anywhere we are clearly still here and the tide has shifted. This next presidential election will be the opportunity.

Twelve years later, Virginia’s busiest bus corridor still has no rail replacement and no serious path toward one.
Plan it concurrently with Metro’s proposed loop, coordinate the tunnels and transfers, and finally give this corridor the investment it deserves.
Columbia Pike has waited long enough.
