Society did little to protect kids from COVID as it was deemed "low risk". Gun violence is the leading cause of death for US youth, yet nothing seems to be happening to address that either.
Sadly underscores how little America values children (except apparently the unborn). theweek.com/school-shootings…

It's official. Starting today, people in Nova Scotia can pick up free rapid COVID tests at every single library in that province.
Meanwhile, in Ontario, 24 million rapid tests are sitting on shelves.
RT if you want access to free rapid tests now.

Tomorrow Doug Ford has a simple decision to make. Vote YES or NO for 10 paid sick days
Voting for Bill 247 is the fastest way to make #PaidSickDays a reality
If he votes against it, Ontario will never forgive @fordnation and his entire team

As politicians discuss #PaidSickDays while my essential worker patients languish in the ICU...it's ironic that the man who can fix this inequity, has taken a (paid) day off work.
While his Ministers take the heat for the second day in a row after Friday's ill fated announcement closing playgrounds and condoning random police stops - Doug Ford is again a no show in the legislature. #onpoli

This week my bill for 10 paid sick days will be debated in the Ontario Legislature.
Retweet if you support 10 paid sick days and send @fordnation a strong message.

Despite what @fordnation says.
My intubated 30-50 year old #COVID patients were not congregating by choice.
They were working in essential jobs where they have the highest exposure risk and the least protection.
Do not insult their sacrifice.

Here's where white feminism, capitalism & colonial thinking intersect with bee conservation. Actual #WomenForBees like me won't buy into this #beewashing, especially the premise of bringing these livestock animals into protected areas around the world.
On #InternationalWomensDay, we are happy to announce that @UNESCO and @Guerlain are joining forces to empower women & support biodiversity through #WomenForBees programme under aegis of Angelina Jolie.

With her election to the second-highest post in the nation, Kamala Harris has secured her place in history as a first — several times over.
The first woman to be vice president. First Black person. First Asian American.
