🌱☀️ Can solar power and food production coexist on the same land? Our new study in @EarthsFutureEiC finds that 13%–16% of existing solar farms are located on former farmland, highlighting the competition for land between food and energy production.
🌍 But there’s good news! ⬇️
Up to 35% of rainfed croplands could sustain their yields while generating solar power, showing that agrivoltaics could offer a sustainable solution to land-use conflicts.
