anyone using @solana/web3.js, versions 1.95.6 and 1.95.7 are compromised with a secret stealer leaking private keys. if you or your product are using these versions, upgrade to 1.95.8 (1.95.5 is unaffected) if you run a service that can blacklist addresses, do your thing with FnvLGtucz4E1ppJHRTev6Qv4X7g8Pw6WPStHCcbAKbfx

Because reusing Spl token means you need to pass the mint and token account for every action. That’s two additional accounts when tx space is severely limited. Also that’s extra rent you pay for no reason.

When you have a more complex protocol, you end up needing to charge rent. Metaplex raised $46M and is now adding additional fees to create NFTs. This is like if every HTTP POST request cost a few cents…

NFToken is so simple that it was built by one person over a couple months. The Metaplex NFT standard has required millions of dollars of engineering time and will continue to require millions of dollars.

An NFT standard should be more like Markdown or HTTP than PDF / Docx. It should be simple to build and to build on top of. And it should be inexpensive to maintain.

We're seeing issues with Google incorrectly marking images.glow.app (our CDN) as a phishing site — so you may be seeing errors in your extension. We've reached out to Google and are working on fix.

Funnily enough, Glow is actually more secure since we run all NFT images thru our CDN rather than load them directly. If we just loaded the images directly, NFT projects could see what IPs were loading images and try to use that to de-anonymize wallets.
