Morning Yall. Awesome experience being on the call with @680CJOB @DTonOB and @DougBrown97 for the WPG vs. CGY game last night.
Some thoughts:
Tyreik McAllister is one of the most explosive and versatile players in the league right now. We knew he was nice in the return game, but I love seeing Calgary getting more creative with how they're using him out of the backfield.
Big Play VA is playing the best ball of his career. Still hasn't thrown an INT this season. He's in the MOP race.
Brady Oliveira played one of his best games of the year last night. In order to be consistent, that WPG offense needs to continue to utilize him more. Baffling he didn't have a single carry in the 4th quarter (until the last couple plays just running out the clock) considering it was still a 2 score game for most of the 4th quarter.
The loss of Broxton for that WPG OL was a big factor last night. Calgary has one of the best DL in the league. They can get consistent pressure only rushing 3 or 4 guys.
Everything that could have went wrong for Winnipeg, did go wrong and Calgary made their plays. Kick 6, 10 point swing. Blocked punt. Wide open blown coverage TD to McAllister. Missed tackles on the long Philpot TD. 4 INT's. And with all that, it was still a 2 score game for the majority of the 4th quarter. If the bombers can figure out a way to put a full 3 phase football game together, I still believe they can be a very dangerous team and a contender in the west.
I think it's clear that West Division race is going to be TIGHT down to the end of the regular season! Lots of football left to be played...

Mental health isn't something to push through quietly. If you're struggling, talk to someone — a friend, a teammate, a professional, whoever you trust. You don't have to carry it alone.

Dale Hawerchuk was one of the greatest players of the 1980s.
During his Hall of Fame career, he put up incredible offensive numbers, on his way to becoming a hockey great.
In Winnipeg, he is nothing short of a legend.
This is his story.
🧵 1/10

ALT A color photo of Dale Hawerchuk skating on the ice during a game. He wears a blue Winnipeg Jets jersey with red and white accents, featuring the Jets logo on the chest and a captain’s C on the upper left. He also wears a blue helmet and gloves, holding a hockey stick as he looks ahead. The background shows a blurred crowd and rink boards.
Feeling a tad better about social media for the past several hours. My timeline has been FLOODED with tributes to @TSNVicRauter
We know a thing or two about the “voices” of curling in Manitoba. Mr Rauter… thank you for bringing the Roaring Game to life for me and my family🎉
