The lesson? Never assume access is consent. Nobody owes you their body, not even someone who agreed to date you or visit you. Respect people’s boundaries. It’s the bare minimum. And if you’ve ever experienced something similar, your feelings are valid.

And what makes it even worse is the way some people behave afterwards. No accountability, no genuine concern for how the other person feels. Just acting like nothing happened. How do you cross someone’s boundaries and still expect everything to be normal?

And please, let’s stop confusing a relationship with ownership. You can love someone, date someone or invite someone into your space and they still have every right to say no. A boundary is a boundary, regardless of the relationship.
