The comparison to Laura is nonsense and based on nothing but vague "le haunting the narrative" vibes. Why in the world would Dess occupy a similar structural role in the narrative as Laura does. Laura is not a fucking twist villain lol she's the subject of the entire plot

My issue with DessKnight is that the Dess mystery isn't an active enough force in the plot for her involvement with the Knight to be meaningful. Her absence doesn't linger over the plot in the same way say Laura Palmer or Claus from Mother 3. Mentions of her are too scarce. (1/2)

Claus is quite thinly sketched - we arguably know more about Dess as a person than we ever did about Claus. In both games the reason to care about the antagonist and the reveal of who they are is similar: because our protagonists care.

i liked deltarune chapter 5 but like, i feel like the flowers were kind of underdeveloped the chapter kind of needed like, a gorilla? He could be super smart and from the moon, with a short range toggle Tesla cannon, and a dome shield to counter control skill

The Switch 2 version of Deltarune recently got dumped (Chapters 1-4), and in it there is unused dialogue for switching controllers, and despite this appearing before Chapter 5, it seems to include the Netskies.

People often talk about Faint Courage as Kris's theme, but something rarely discussed in relation to that is the fact that Darkness Falls, the track from which the motif originates, opens with one of the most blatant quotes of Gaster's theme in Deltarune

why would the shadow crystals show you the knight's vision? this is pure conjecture and instantly disproved by the light world shadow crystal visions. how does it relate to the theme of lost dreams? why would noelle get flowers before going to see her imminently dying father?

The Dark Worlds are quite a lot like Homestuck's Sburb, ultimately. New "worlds" with deep mytho/cosmological and spiritual elements, yet at the same time artificial "game constructs" with arbitrary "rules", "goals" and "mechanics".

Mainly I dislike Kratience because I don't think Kris has truly changed - it's just since That Day, they've been supressing their own SOUL and their own desires, living a largely empty life. But now that we've arrived, we can bring those desires out again, playing as their SOUL.
