Encyclopedic, nuanced and witty history of psychology's ethical and scientific missteps in the service of racism. Erudite, refreshing, and so far as it illuminates a shameful history of racial slander and exclusion, infuriating. A delightful read

I love Ruby & Ossie. I'm sad they are no longer here in person. Glad we can still watch & read about their art & their activism.

So babygirl's name in English is Ego and in Igbo is Money?!?! Or… you know what I mean 🫣😄
I know that's right 😂🤭
For generations, abuelas have boiled the vibrant, paper-like bracts of bougainvillea to create a hot herbal tea (té de bugambilia).
It has long been used as a traditional home remedy to soothe coughs, clear respiratory tracts, and ease sore throats due to its natural expectorant properties.
Over time, the same hot infusion was cooled down, sweetened with honey or sugar, and mixed with fresh lime juice and ice to create a refreshing agua fresca, especially popular due to its vibrant color.
Have you ever had bougainvillea juice?

🇩🇴 Dominican beta male nationalists on Twitter really thought they could get Brazilians on their side to hate Haiti, be racist, xenophobic & pile on the fact Haiti lost a soccer match🤣
They’re so dumb they don’t know our bond is strong.
♥️ Brazil … go get the World Cup❗️

I just went and watched the entire short. That 20 minutes was better than a lot of 2 hour plus movies.

They never understand the relationship that Brazil & Haiti has. On the field and off the field, it’s all love ..

It's funny how many friends of mine said they had Native American ancestry and I suggested they take a DNA test and they found out they didn't have any.

Just like that!
The only thing the acronyms cult have delineated from is shame.
Africa has thousands of years of documented civilizations, languages, kingdoms, written traditions, and archaeological evidence.
Indigenous peoples of the Americas have their own histories, languages, ancestral traditions, and communities that long predate European colonization. And Black Americans have an extraordinary history of survival, resistance, cultural creation, and struggle against slavery and segregation.
None of these histories needs to be erased for the others to matter.
If you have to invent a story about being the original inhabitants of a continent to feel superior to Africans and Indigenous Americans, you aren't defending history. You're shamelessly demonstrating your ignorance of it.

I love this idea!
We should weave more native languages from our continent into our everyday life.

I don't even want a piece of it. It's too beautiful; holy even. I'm not worthy of such artistry.
